Flagler County Sheriff's Office

A mother from Florida, 32-year-old Amy Kemper, was apprehended after abandoning her 11-year-old son. According to the New York Post, Kemper left him in the room for hours with a man who was deceased following a three-some inside a hotel room. Rick Staly, the Flager County Sheriff, revealed that the women checked into the Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa in Palm Coast and later met up with two older men.

The woman reportedly did drugs with them and engaged in sexual activity with the other of them while her son was in the room. Kemper informed officials that she later left the room with the one man while she left her son in the room with the other man, who was allegedly

“snoring unusually.”

The following day, the man was discovered in the room unconscious and later declared deceased at the location.

According to the County Sheriff,

“A woman thought it was okay to bring her child to a resort in the middle of the night so she could engage in narcotic use and sexual activities.. Unfortunately, her son was stuck alone in the room with the deceased male for several hours until she came back.”

Officials located numerous drugs in the hotel room and the woman confessed to the group doing drugs, said Staly. The identity of the men remains concealed and Kemper was charged with child neglect. The Florida Department of Children and Families took custody of the boy.
