Officials In North Carolina Warn Residents After Finding Razor Blades Inside Pumps At Multiple Gas Stations

Forest City Police Department

North Carolina officials are advising residents to pay attention because someone is putting razor blades on gas handles, according to FOX. The Forest City Police Department has warned the community revealing that authorities have

“located multiple instances of razor blades being placed in gas pump handle… We are actively investigating these instances now in cooperation with the state Department of Agriculture and will follow up with more information when available.”

The police department advised residents to be cautious of their area as they pump gas and

“always check before grabbing the gas handle.”

The first couple of razors were discovered by the Department of Agriculture as they conducted their regular inspection at three different businesses, reports WSOC-TV.

The initial razors were located at a BP and Shell gas station in Forest City. As you can see in the photos, the razor was placed in a spot consumers would normally put their hand to pump gas.

Chris Hopper, a Forest City Detective, told the news outlet,

“It’s a very evil thing to do, for lack of a better word. It’s just mean-spirited.”
