A man is now facing multiple charges following his arrest for selling drugs to middle school students, reports WSBTV. The incident took place at a local middle school in Rockdale County, where school administrators confiscated THC vape pens from several students.
After conducting an investigation to determine the source of the vape pens, law enforcement officials identified Samuel Estrada as the individual responsible for selling the illegal items to the children.
Upon searching Estrada’s residence, authorities discovered a significant quantity of THC vape cartridges, marijuana, psilocybin mushrooms, $12,000 in cash, and a firearm.
As a result, Estrada is now facing several charges, including three counts of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and additional charges related to drugs and firearms.
Maurice Byrd, aged 41, has been arrested and charged with the murder of Stephen Strassburg, aged 37. The incident took place outside Razor Reese’s Salon and Spa in Hatboro, Pennsylvania, per NBC Philadelphia.
According to a news release from Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele and Hatboro Police Chief Mark Ruegg, Strassburg was found by Hatboro police officers in the salon’s parking lot on Saturday, June 8, 2024. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police reports state that Strassburg was shot in the face, shoulder, and back. The details were revealed in a criminal complaint obtained by NBC10 on Monday.
“A joint investigation into the homicide by Montgomery County Detectives and Hatboro Police found that there was an ongoing dispute between the defendant and the victim, who lived above Razor Reese’s, which is owned by Byrd,”
the DA’s office and police said in an initial news release.
Byrd told the 911 operator that he was being
“verbally assaulted”
by a white man who was calling him a
“dirty N-word,”
according to the affidavit of probable cause.
“While on the phone with the 911 dispatcher, Strassburg can be heard saying ‘what are you going to do, you going to shoot me (N-word),’”
the criminal complaint said.
“Byrd then says, ‘I just had to shoot him,’”
the criminal complaint continued.
“The dispatcher asks, ‘did you hit him’ to which Byrd responds, ‘yes I did.’”
“Strassburg did not have a weapon at the time of the shooting,”
authorities said. Maurice Byrd has been arrested on charges of first-degree murder, third-degree murder, and possession of a weapon. Court records indicate that he is currently being held in jail without the option of bail.

A woman contacted the authorities after recognizing a man whom she claims raped her in 2012, CBS News reported. The victim, now 34 years old, alleges that she recognized her attacker, Ralph John Davis, aged 59, at a Motel 6 on Caribbean Boulevard on Wednesday.
The incident occurred when the woman was 22 years old. She informed the police that she was riding a metro bus and when she reached her destination, both she and Davis got off. As she was heading home, she noticed Davis following her. The assault took place when she was entering the entrance of her residential community.
According to the incident report, Davis approached her from behind, forcibly restrained her with a chokehold, and proceeded to drag her toward a nearby wall.
“The victim repeatedly begged the defendant not to kill her… Davis removed the victim’s clothing, dropped his pants, and forcibly assaulted her.”
During the assault, the victim managed to escape and immediately called the police for help. However, the case is still open and has not been solved yet. Davis confessed that he was on the same bus as the victim when the attack took place. As a result, he has been charged with sexual battery. Currently, Davis is being held at TGK and his bond has been set at $25,000.

Four police officers in the Philippine capital have been arrested for kidnapping four foreign tourists and demanding a ransom, AP News reported. The officers stopped a luxury car carrying three Chinese and a Malaysian. With the help of armed civilians, they forcibly took the tourists into a van.
Two of the Chinese tourists managed to escape and alerted the authorities. The remaining captives were beaten but were released after a ransom of 2.5 million pesos ($43,100) was paid. The arrest of the police officers, including a police major, was made possible through information provided by the freed tourists and security camera footage.
The footage showed the kidnappers, one of whom appeared to be a police officer, stopping a car and forcibly removing the passengers in front of other motorists.
“I was shocked that policemen were the ones involved,”
Abalos said in a news conference.
“This incident is a serious breach of public trust and core values of the police force.”
Police are searching for at least 10 additional suspects who were involved in the kidnapping but were not law enforcement. The police have filed criminal complaints against the suspects for kidnapping, carjacking, and robbery. A man from Pennsylvania has been accused of stalking a woman he met on an online dating website, according to Fox 29 Philadelphia. Matthew Bustin, 33, allegedly attached a GPS tracker to the woman’s car after a brief relationship that ended when she became uncomfortable and noticed strange behavior.
The victim contacted the police after returning from a vacation to find the circuit breakers turned off and the internet connection cut. Investigators discovered a GPS tracking device under the victim’s car and linked it to Bustin. Surveillance footage from the victim’s workplace showed Bustin attaching the tracker to her car.
Cellphone data also revealed that Bustin had been in the vicinity of the victim’s home and workplace on multiple occasions without her knowledge since their relationship ended. Bustin turned himself in and now faces charges of burglary, criminal trespassing, stalking, and harassment. He is currently in custody at a Bucks County Correctional Facility with a bail set at $2 million.

A shoplifter is accused of stabbing a security guard at Duane Reade in Midtown, Manhattan, and threatening another person, as reported by the police, per the . The security guard, who was 21 years old, attempted to stop the suspected shoplifter from stealing items at the drugstore located on the corner of West 53rd Street and 8th Avenue.
Unfortunately, the suspect resorted to violence, using a knife to stab the security guard in his arm and torso. The suspect also threatened another individual outside the store with the knife. According to police sources, the male suspect was found a few blocks away and still had the knife with him.
The security guard was taken to New York-Presbyterian Hospital in serious condition, as stated by the police. The suspect has been arrested and is currently at the Midtown North precinct, according to sources.

A Georgia man is accused of tricking Steve Harvey‘s radio show co-host, Shirley Strawberry, into marrying him and then using her fame to cheat at least 25 people out of over $750,000. On April 23, a Fulton County Grand Jury charged Earnest Williams, 57, with 39 counts of fraud, according to court documents per the NY Post.
Williams presented himself as a successful businessman, stealing hundreds of thousands from his victims, including
“personal vehicles, motorcycles, coach buses, trailers, automotive parts, and other various services and property.”
Williams would target primarily women, and
“often used the illusion of romantic or close personal relationships with those victims to manipulate them and to steal from them,”
according to the documents.
The documents allege he
“knowingly entered into a fraudulent marriage with Shirley Strawberry,”
— the co-host of
“The Steve Harvey Morning Show”
and used her
“high-profile celebrity”
to convince his victims of his legitimacy as a businessman. The couple got married in January 2015.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis told WSBTV.
The well-known radio host filed for divorce on April 17th. However, according to court documents, they had been living apart since March 2022. Williams is also accused of recruiting multiple
“co-conspirators,”
his main accomplice being Erica King. Williams allegedly
“solicited King to fraudulently assume the identities of multiple attorneys licensed to practice law in Georgia to deceive law enforcement and the courts, including by appearing in court and by falsely and fraudulently representing Williams in hearings.”
Williams and King were arrested in October 2023. He has been indicted on multiple charges and his public defender has filed a plea agreement on his behalf. If found guilty, Williams could face a prison sentence ranging from one to 20 years. Additionally, if he is found guilty of filing a false marriage license in Georgia, he could face up to 10 years in prison and a fine of $10,000.
According to Jacksonville Sheriff T.K. Waters, a police officer has been arrested and resigned for using a driver database for personal purposes, per Action News Jax.
Allen Lasage was arrested on Thursday, after an audit revealed that he accessed the Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles Driver And Vehicle Information Database (DAVID) to check the license plates of 15 vehicles parked at his ex-girlfriend’s apartment complex.
Lasage was not on duty or working in an off-duty capacity at the time, reports note. He is now facing a charge of offenses against computer users. Lasage started his career with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office on September 30, 2017.
Following his arrest, he resigned from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and is no longer a police officer.
A former elementary school principal from Florida is currently facing serious charges for allegedly holding a student in a chokehold, hitting them with a cable, and causing other disturbing injuries, as reported by the NY Post.
Dontay Akeem Prophet worked as a principal at Destiny Leadership Academy in Ocala. He was arrested over the weekend on charges of aggravated child abuse and false imprisonment of a child under 13, reports Click Orlando. Surveillance footage captured Prophet in the video trapping a male child inside a classroom for over 40 minutes, cited the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
The footage shows Prophet forcefully grabbing the student’s arm and proceeding to hold him down, placing him in a chokehold. The 33-year-old principal is also seen striking the boy with a charging cable, causing him to fall over. Additionally, the video captured Prophet twisting the boy’s ankle and slapping him in the face.
During Prophet’s arrest, the authorities presented him with the video evidence, as reported by Click Orlando.
“I don’t know if you know this or not, but there’s a security camera in that room,”
a deputy said in released body-camera footage.
“There is?”
Prophet replied.
Prophet told police he was trying to stop the boy from hurting himself, reports reveal. Investigators say the video does not support his claims. Prophet is in jail without bail, according to Marion County records. Prophet was fired from the Destiny Leadership Academy, WESH reported. The school reportedly held a meeting on Monday to discuss the incident with parents.

A disturbing incident occurred where a woman intentionally hit a man with her car, then backed over him, and proceeded to kiss his lifeless body before repeatedly stabbing him, per the NY Post. The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Karon Fisher, is reported to be a transgender woman.
The victim, Steven Anderson, 64, was simply going to pick up the mail in his Houston neighborhood on May 3 when the incident took place. Video footage captured the white vehicle speeding down the road and intentionally swerving to strike Anderson. The car then reversed and hit him a second time, pushing his body further down the street.
Witnesses quickly appeared on the scene, some pulling out their phones while another brought a pillow to cover Anderson’s body. Shockingly, the driver returned to the scene, flipped Anderson’s body over, straddled him, and kissed him before stabbing him several times.
Fisher, who was dressed in a black bra and high-waisted black shorts, attempted to get into another car while horrified witnesses watched. When she failed to enter the vehicle, she walked over Anderson’s body and left the scene on foot. Fisher was later arrested and charged with murder, evading arrest with a vehicle, and assaulting hospital personnel. It remains unclear whether the two individuals had a relationship.
Despite being identified as male on court records, Fisher was referred to as a woman by the police. It was also discovered that at the time of her arrest, she was on community supervision for evading arrest in 2023. Fisher had previously been charged with prostitution in 2021, but the case was dismissed. She is scheduled to appear in court on May 24.
