Man Charged For Smacking Pregnant Girlfriend In Head With Pan &  Stabbing Her Amid Argument Over Text Messages: Officials

A man from Miami, 27-year-old Thaddeus Davis, has been apprehended and is facing multiple charges including domestic battery. Davis reportedly attacked his pregnant girlfriend during a verbal disagreement involving text messages on her phone. According to Miami-Dade Police Department, Davis struck her in the head with a cooking pan as well as stabbed with a kitchen knife, reports Fox35

The 27-year-old allegedly punched a woman in the mouth and fled the scene last week, leading to his arrest. When authorities learned he was wanted on other charges in relation to the attack of his girlfriend back in September, he was apprehended.

On September 12th, an altercation took place between Davis and his girlfriend. According to reports, they were dating for a year. During their argument, Davis asked to see her text messages, but she declined. This led to him assaulting her with a pan and then stabbing her in the side with a kitchen knife, as confirmed by officials.

He later stole her phone and fled. Luckily, she contacted officials and was later taken to a hospital. Reports added that the woman is expected to survive.

Once the woman identified Davis, law enforcement issued a probable cause message for his arrest.

According to the police, on November 1st, Davis is accused of assaulting a woman by punching her in the mouth during an argument. The argument involved Davis and his girlfriend, with whom he has a 4-month-old child with. It is currently unknown whether this woman is the same person involved in the previous incident.

Davis fled the scene, prompting a swift police response and search. They found outstanding charges against him and apprehended him. While en route to the correctional center, he damaged the transport van, resulting in additional charges. During booking, Davis allegedly kicked a corrections officer without causing injuries.

Woman Attempts To Stab Dog For Eating Her Burger King Resulting In Horrific Injury To 1-Year-Old Niece, Police Say

A woman in Indiana is facing serious charges after allegedly attempting to stab her dog for snatching her chicken sandwich, reports Law&Crime. Tragically, she accidentally stabbed her 1-year-old niece in the neck instead. Sharon C. Key, 32, was arrested and charged with neglect of a dependent resulting in serious bodily injury and criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.

The incident unfolded on Tuesday night when law enforcement responded to a distress call at the Days Inn on Craig Street in Indianapolis. They discovered a 1-year-old girl with a stab wound to her neck. The child was swiftly transferred to Riley Hospital for Children, initially in critical condition but later updated to stable.

According to court records, the victim’s mother, who happens to be Key’s sister, revealed that Key had requested to stay with them at the hotel. After being dropped off that morning, Key consumed alcohol throughout the day. Later that evening, the sisters returned from a Burger King outing. The mother laid her daughter on the bed closest to the window and then proceeded to shower her son.

The mother claimed to have heard

“loud noises from the bedroom so she walked out and saw that [Key] was holding a knife in her hand and [her daughter] was bloody and screaming on the bed.”

Key expressed that it was an

    “accident”

while the mother frantically wrapped a towel around her daughter’s wound and applied pressure.

The mother called 911 for assistance while Key attempted to flee towards the exit. Authorities eventually discovered Key hiding in some nearby bushes and arrested her. During an interview with detectives, Key reportedly confessed that her pitbull had snatched her Burger King chicken sandwich, leading her to become enraged. She allegedly grabbed her knife and pursued the dog, but in her attempt to harm the animal, she accidentally struck her niece instead. The investigation is ongoing.

  • Indictments Handed Down As Video Shows 9 Jail Deputies Brutally Beating Black Man Amid Psychotic Episode, Resulting In His Tragic Demise

Indictments Handed Down As Video Shows 9 Jail Deputies Brutally Beating Black Man Amid Psychotic Episode, Resulting In His Tragic Demise

Nine corrections officers in Memphis have been charged in connection with the death of Gershun Freeman, a 33-year-old inmate who died after being beaten by the officers, PEOPLE confirmed.

The incident, which occurred last October, was captured on video. Stevon Jones and Courtney Parham are facing charges of second-degree murder and aggravated assault, while the other officers are charged with aggravated assault resulting in death. The indictment, released on Thursday, alleges that the officers acted together in committing these offenses.

Freeman had been in jail for four days for allegedly kidnapping and attacking his girlfriend before experiencing a psychotic episode. In the video obtained by PEOPLE, corrections officers are seen giving out boxed meals. As two officers approach Freeman’s cell, Freeman emerges completely unclothed with his arms outstretched. The officers swiftly rush towards the scene and begin to assault Freeman.

The medical examiner’s report cited a pre-existing heart condition as the cause of death, however, the video footage and the indictment suggest that excessive force was used. In one part of the video clip officers are seen beating and kicking Freeman, who eventually goes still. According to the timestamped footage, an officer remained kneeling on him for approximately 3 minutes and 40 seconds while he was already on the ground.

The officers involved are currently on paid administrative leave. The case is being prosecuted by Nashville District Attorney Glenn Funk. Sheriff Floyd Bonner announced the indictment at a press conference. This case is just one of many incidents at the Shelby County Jail, which has seen 52 deaths since 2016.

Teen Driver Arrested After Purposely Striking Retired Police Chief Riding Bicycle, Captured On Video Saying ‘Hit His A–‘

Video footage has emerged showing the deliberate killing of a retired California police chief while he was riding his bike in Las Vegas. The disturbing video obtained by the NY Post captures a teenage driver, accompanied by a friend, intentionally hitting the cyclist as they laughed. One of them can be heard saying,

    “Yeah, hit his a-s.”

The victim, identified as Andreas Probst, 64, was tragically killed during his routine morning bike ride at around 6 a.m. on August 14, as confirmed by Las Vegas police. According to The Las Vegas Review-Journal, authorities have arrested the 17-year-old driver of the Hyundai involved in the incident. The driver, who has not been named, has been charged with murder.

The arrest came after law enforcement discovered a video circulating on social media that captured the teen intentionally striking the victim. The horrifying video had gone viral, showing the driver jokingly asking his friends if they were

    “ready,”

while the passenger filmed the incident and laughed. Encouraging the driver, the passenger says,

    “Yeah, hit his a-s,”

just before the vehicle collides with the older man.

The unsettling video begins with the passengers hurling profanities at passing cars while driving recklessly along North Tenaya Way, near West Centennial Parkway. The driver then veers into the bike lane behind Probst, honks the horn, and purposefully crashes into the back tire, causing him to fly into the air. Throughout the incident, the passenger continues to film, capturing the sight of the injured man lying defenseless on the roadside.

“Damn that n—a got knocked out!”

the passenger says as the driver speeds off from the scene. Probst was transported to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, as reported by the Review-Journal. It is unclear whether the passenger who recorded the incident was charged.

According to reports, the ex-police chief of Bell, California, relocated to Las Vegas after retiring in 2009. Probst dedicated 35 years to a career in law enforcement, as reported by KLAS.

“He was honestly like a ray of sunshine,”

Taylor Probst said at a memorial service held for her father.

  • FBI Busted Kentucky Man For Trafficking Human Remains From Harvard Morgue, FBI Recovered ’40 Skulls, Spinal Cords, and Other Bones’ In His Home

FBI Busted Kentucky Man For Trafficking Human Remains From Harvard Morgue, FBI Recovered ’40 Skulls, Spinal Cords, and Other Bones’ In His Home

A Kentucky man has been placed behind bars for allegedly trafficking human remains, Insider reported. FBI agents discovered

“approximately 40 human skulls, spinal cords, femurs, and hip bones,”

in the suspect home, according to court documents.

James Nott was apprehended at his home on July 11. FBI agents recovered human remains as well as firearms, inert grenades, and body armor, reports note. A criminal complaint obtained by Insider revealed that Nott was allegedly part of a larger network involved in

“the sale and transportation of fraudulently obtained human remains.”

Before searching the suspect’s home, FBI agents asked Nott if there were any other people in the home, to which he replied,

    “Only my dead friends,”

according to the criminal complaints. Officials discovered several human skulls

    “decorated around the furniture,”

including one placed on top of his mattress. They also retrieved a Harvard Medical School bag, the criminal complaint said.

Cedric Lodge, the Harvard Medical School’s morgue manager, was also indicted last month for selling the remains of people who donated their bodies to Harvard’s anatomical gift program, to the black market. He along with several co-conspirators trafficked,

“heads, brains, skin, bones, and other human remains,”

according to an indictment filed against Harvard’s morgue manager, Cedric Lodge. Lodge reportedly sold

“dissected faces and hired a man to tan human skin ‘to create leather,’”

    according to court documents.

The FBI said Nott was also communicating with potential buyers on Facebook under the alias

    “William Burke.”

He reportedly posted photos of the human body parts

    “for sale.”

The FBI busted a possible customer who was in communication with Nott.

“How much total for the couple and the last video you sent plus the spines,”

the person wrote. The FBI was able to get a lead on a wider network of people involved in human remains trafficking, thanks to Nott’s customer.

Nott was charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, as he is not permitted to own firearms after a 2011 case, according to court records. He remains in the custody of the United States Marshals Service pending additional charges.

  • New HIV Case Linked To ‘Vampire Facial’ Procedure At Unlicensed New Mexico Spa

New HIV Case Linked To ‘Vampire Facial’ Procedure At Unlicensed New Mexico Spa

A person has recently tested positive for HIV after receiving a

    “vampire facial”

procedure at a New Mexico spa that has since been shut down, NY Post reported.

VIP Spa in Albuquerque was shut down in September 2018 by the New Mexico Department of Health after 2 people tested positive for HIV. Now as of recently, a new case has been reported of a former customer who tested positive for the virus after receiving the same procedure. The facial, which cost $100 to do, is done by taking a person’s blood and then reinjecting parts of the blood back into the skin via micro-needling.

DOH and the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department discovered that the facility was conducting business in a way that jeopardized

“the spread of blood-borne infections such as HIV,”

    reports reveal.

Maria de Lourdes Ramos de Ruiz, who worked at the spa conducted vampire facials without a medical license, and the spa’s owner, only had a cosmetologist license, which had expired in 2013, state investigators found, according to the Albuquerque Journal. Ruiz, 59, was charged with

“racketeering, fraud, five counts of practicing medicine without a license, six counts of money laundering, four counts of tax evasion, and seven counts of willful failure to collect and pay taxes.”

Over 100 former VIP Spa clients were tested for the virus, following the investigation. Due to the new case an investigation has been reopened. Health officials are urging anyone who had services at the VIP Spa to get tested for HIV, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C.

“It’s very important that we spread the word and remind people who received any kind of injection related to services provided at the VIP Spa to come in for free and confidential testing,”

said Dr. Laura Parajon, deputy secretary for DOH.
