Florida Mother Of 5 Accused Of Fatally Shooting Ex’s New Girlfriend At Walgreens Parking Lot On Christmas During Child Custody Handover

A Florida woman has been arrested after a planned child custody exchange turned violent outside a Walgreens on Christmas Day, reports Law & Crime. The incident left the baby’s father injured and another woman shot dead.

Amanda Marie Janzen, 38, who is a mother of five, is facing charges of premeditated murder and child neglect, according to court records. Janzen and the male victim have an 11-month-old child together. A family court had ordered them to split custody, and Janzen was supposed to hand over the child in front of a Walgreens store.

On the day of the exchange, Janzen allegedly arrived at the pharmacy with all five of her children in the vehicle. Before the exchange, she allegedly gave her oldest son her SNAP benefits card, debit card, and instructions to pay a cellular phone bill. The boy allegedly said he

    “had never done this before,”

    according to the arrest report.

Janzen arrived at the scene first and reportedly pulled out a gun from her bag while sitting in her vehicle. She

    “cocked”

the gun and waited. When the couple arrived, the baby’s father got out of his girlfriend’s vehicle, and Janzen, with the gun hidden behind her back, approached the woman who was still in the driver’s seat, and fired three shots, killing the female victim. Janzen then searched for the child’s father, who had jumped back into the passenger seat, shooting him three times as well. Janzen allegedly shouted,

    “You made this happen,”

    as she fired at him.

    Suspect Flees The Scene

A nearby police officer heard the gunshots and witnessed Janzen’s car fleeing the scene. The officer began pursuing the vehicle, and soon other law enforcement officers joined in a 13-mile chase. During the pursuit, Janzen called 911 and admitted to the shooting, stating that she was being followed by the police. The arrest report states that all five children were still in the car, pleading for their mother to stop as she led officers on a high-speed chase exceeding 100 mph.

Currently, she is being held in the Alachua County Jail on a $2 million bond. A public defender has been appointed to represent her.

  • Brother Fatally Shoots Sister While She Held Her 10-Month-Old Baby After Argument Over Unequal Christmas Gifts

Brother Fatally Shoots Sister While She Held Her 10-Month-Old Baby After Argument Over Unequal Christmas Gifts

A 23-year-old Florida mother lost her life during a family disagreement over Christmas presents, the NY Post reported.

According to authorities, the dispute started when Abrielle Baldwin, accompanied by her two sons aged 6 and 10 months, went shopping with her two teenage brothers aged 15 and 14, along with their mother. Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri revealed that the argument started when Baldwin’s 14-year-old brother felt upset about his older brother receiving more gifts.

“So they had this family spat about who was getting what and what money was being spent on who,”

    Gualtieri told reporters Tuesday.

As the family returned to Baldwin’s grandmother’s house after their shopping trip, the argument continued. The 14-year-old brother reportedly got a handgun and aimed it at his older brother’s head. Family members present attempted to separate the feuding teens. However, the younger brother’s anger turned toward Baldwin and her 10-month-old son, threatening to shoot them both.

Tragically, he followed through on his threat, shooting Baldwin in the chest with a .40-caliber handgun. Thankfully, the baby, who was in a carrier, remained unharmed. The 15-year-old brother emerged from the house and retaliated, shooting his sibling in the stomach with a .45-caliber handgun. Fleeing the scene, the older brother discarded the weapon. The younger brother, who wounded Baldwin, is hospitalized in stable condition and will face custody upon release.

Local prosecutors will review the case to determine whether he will be charged as an adult for the devastating loss of his sister. As for the 15-year-old, he has been arrested and faces charges of attempted first-degree murder and tampering with evidence.

  • Grandmother Outraged After Her 6-Year-Old Grandson, Traveling Alone, Was Placed On Wrong Spirit Airlines Flight During The Busiest Traveling Season

Grandmother Outraged After Her 6-Year-Old Grandson, Traveling Alone, Was Placed On Wrong Spirit Airlines Flight During The Busiest Traveling Season

A family’s worst nightmare came true when a Spirit Airlines flight made the mistake of sending a 6-year-old first-time flyer to the wrong airport, located hundreds of miles away from his intended destination, reports the NY Post

Maria Ramos, the grandmother of the young passenger named Casper, revealed that he was supposed to land at Southwest Florida Airport in Fort Myers after flying solo from Philadelphia on Thursday, as reported by WINK News. Ramos was shocked when she learned Casper never boarded the correct plane to Fort Myers, leaving only his luggage to make the trip.

“They told me, ‘No, he’s not on this flight. He missed his flight.’ I said, ‘No, he could not miss his flight because I have the check-in tag,”

    Ramos told the outlet.

“I ran inside the plane to the flight attendant and I asked her, ‘Where’s my grandson? He was handed over to you at Philadelphia?’ She said, ‘No, I had no kids with me.’”

According to the grandmother, Casper was mistakenly sent to Orlando International Airport, which is over 200 miles away from Fort Myers. Ramos had to drive four hours to retrieve the six-year-old, describing the incident as the most

    “frightening”

experience she has ever had. Spirit Airlines offered to compensate Ramos for the lengthy drive.

In a statement to the outlet, the airline’s spokesman, Michael Lopardi, wrote,

“The child was always under the care and supervision of a Spirit Team Member, and as soon as we discovered the error, we took immediate steps to communicate with the family and reconnect them.”

“We take the safety and responsibility of transporting all of our Guests seriously and are conducting an internal investigation. We apologize to the family for this experience.”

Woman Leaves Note For Police Officer Who Parked In Her Parking Spot She Pays For, Threatened To Tow The Vehicle

A woman discovered an Orlando Police Department officer parked in her designated spot and left a note warning that if the officer continues to park inappropriately, their vehicle will be towed.

A TikTok video by creator Ruby Red (Ruby.Red53) showing a transgression has gained over 327,700 views and sparked a debate with hundreds of comments. In the video, Ruby explains the assigned parking situation and the need to pay for it, with sirens in the background.

Despite Ruby Red’s monthly payment for her parking space, she claims to have frequently encountered the officer’s car parked in her assigned spot. In the video, she said,

“So I’m gonna leave him a little notey-note and let him know that [I’d] hate to have to tow him.”

She later revealed the note that she left for the officer, which said,

“Hey officer, this is my parking space (assigned parking). Please don’t park here. I would hate to have to get your vehicle towed.”

Many TikTok users chimed in, as one person wrote,

“I’m not leaving no note he would have had to pick his truck up from the tow yard.”

    Another user penned,

“call the department and let them know his cruiser number and he won’t do that again.”

“You too nice he woulda never left you no note it woulda been $435 at that yard,”

    said another user.

In a now-deleted subsequent update shared on Wednesday, five days after her initial video, the TikToker mentioned that her approach with a note was successful, and she didn’t need to reach out to her leasing office, a towing company, or the officer’s precinct or sergeant.

  • Three Men Arrested For Allegedly Stealing Hundred Of Gallons Of Used Cooking Oil Worth Thousands Of Dollars’, Police Say

Three Men Arrested For Allegedly Stealing Hundred Of Gallons Of Used Cooking Oil Worth Thousands Of Dollars’, Police Say

Three men have been arrested charged with grand theft for allegedly stealing cooking oil from various restaurants, reports Fox News

Port Orange Police Department successfully tracked down the three individuals on December 16, 2023. The suspects were believed to be specifically focusing on restaurants in the vicinity during the late-night hours.

The suspects, Rui Lin, a 49-year-old resident of St. Johns, Florida; Yunqiu Chen, a 35-year-old resident of St. Augustine, Florida; and Zengyu Liu, a 42-year-old resident of Flushing, New York.

The men carried out their alleged operation using a large box truck equipped with a pump. They would back the truck up to a restaurant, roll out a hose, and extract used cooking oil, reports reveal.

According to law enforcement officials, approximately 330 gallons of cooking oil were stolen. Police suspect these same individuals may be connected to a larger criminal organization responsible for more stolen oil in the area.

All three individuals have been charged with grand theft. Lin was also previously arrested in Flagler County, Florida, last year for a similar incident.

Athens-Clarke County Police Department Lt. Jody Thompson told Fox 5 Atlanta at the time that theft of the oil, sometimes called

    “yellow grease,”

    is

    “not uncommon.”

“It can be refined and sold, and it can be used as fuel,”

he said of the oil’s value.

“There are several different markets for the oil that recyclers can utilize.”

  • TikToker Says She Dumped Boyfriend After Finding Out He Doesn’t Use Toilet Paper

TikToker Says She Dumped Boyfriend After Finding Out He Doesn’t Use Toilet Paper

A TikTok user recently shared a disturbing story about her ex-boyfriend’s bathroom habits. Alexandra Maria Clara, who resides in Tampa, Florida, recounted her experience with her unhygienic former partner in a viral video that has garnered over 900,000 views on the platform.

In the video, Clara revealed that while using the bathroom at her ex-boyfriend’s house, she discovered that there wasn’t any toilet paper in sight. Concerned, she brought the issue to his attention, and he appeared willing to address the problem.

“I said, ‘Hey, you don’t have any toilet paper,”‘

    said Clara.

“And he was like, “Oh sorry,” and I was like, ‘It’s fine.’ For the moment it was OK because I always carry tissues in my purse.”

    She added,

“So I was like, ‘Make sure you pick some up when you go to the supermarket.’ And he was like, ‘Thanks for reminding me, cool,’ or whatever.”

However, when Clara visited her ex-boyfriend’s place a week later, she discovered that he had not replenished the bathroom essential. Once again, she promptly brought it to his attention, but he claimed to have simply

    “forgotten.”

It wasn’t until they went to the store to buy snacks together that Clara realized her boyfriend didn’t believe in using toilet paper at all.

“We go to Target and I’m like, ‘Oh, while we’re here let’s get some toilet paper,’ Maria Clara described. This man dead–ss looks me in the eye and says, ‘I’m not gonna do that.’”

    She continued,

“And I said, ‘Why?’ and he goes, ‘Because I don’t use toilet paper.’ So I went, ‘What do you use?”

    And he goes,

    “I use wet wipes.’”

When Clara asked what she should use when visiting his house, he suggested she use

    “wet wipes”

    instead.

Clara decided to start bringing her own toilet paper when she went over to her beau’s house but that quickly ended when the boyfriend started mocking Clara’s paper stash. Clara later broke it off with the anti-toilet paper activist.

  • Father Battles For Custody Of Daughter After Mother Claims Child Died At Birth and Secretly Put Baby Up For Adoption

Father Battles For Custody Of Daughter After Mother Claims Child Died At Birth and Secretly Put Baby Up For Adoption

A father in Florida is engaged in a custody battle for his daughter, who he was initially told had died at birth by the child’s mother. However, he later discovered that the baby had been put up for adoption without his knowledge, Daily Mail reports.

Brandon Marteliz, has been engaged in a custody battle since discovering that his daughter, Amiya, was alive and well.

In Florida, a judge ruled in October that Marteliz’s consent for adoption wasn’t required, as he hadn’t supported the baby. The appeal time has lapsed, and 2-year-old Amiya stays with her adoptive parents.

Marteliz said the day of his daughter’s birth he received a text message from the mother, informing him that their child had died from sudden infant death syndrome. He reportedly lost contact with the mother for around three weeks. Marteliz was mentioned as a

“man who may have interest in the minor child”

in the legal filings, but he soon discovered that his daughter was under the care of the Heart of Adoptions, a private agency in Florida.

Because Marteliz and the mother were not married, his parental rights were not required at the time of the adoption. He was not listed on the baby’s birth certificate, and he had not registered as a putative father, which would have given him legal rights as an unmarried father.

In the same month that his daughter was born, Marteliz registered and filed a petition to establish paternity for his child.

“I am willing to do whatever it takes to be given custody of my daughter and be in her life. I am willing to pay whatever form or support or cost it takes,”

    he told the outlet.

In May 2021, it was stated by Marteliz during the court proceedings that he had not been informed about the mother’s adoption decision.

He also denied the claim that he did not provide financial support during the pregnancy.

“There’s a lot of fathers out there that are being robbed, that are good dads, that would — that are great dads. Something needs to be done about this.”

Florida Man Taken Into Custody For Allegedly Refusing To Pay For ‘Waffle House’ Tattoo

A Florida man was arrested after he decided to get a

    “Waffle House”

tattoo and then attempted to run out on the tab, Fox News reported.

The incident occurred in St. Petersburg earlier this month when Max Krejckant, 33, was charged with petit theft for not paying the tattoo parlor. Authorities from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office were called to Ink Godz on December 2nd after Krejckant received the tattoo but refused to settle the $250 fee.

Krejckant stated that he couldn’t pay because he didn’t have his debit card. However, he couldn’t provide evidence of having enough funds in his bank account. Despite being given multiple payment options, he still declined to pay.

During a search, deputies found only six dollars and his driver’s license in Krejckant’s bag. He was then taken to the Pinellas County Jail and released the following day after posting a $150 bond.
