Barbara Cramer, a dedicated employee at McDonald‘s since 1970, was recently recognized by her colleagues at the Fort Pierce, Florida, location for her five decades of service, People reported.
When questioned about what this moment meant to her, the 75-year-old responded,
“Everything.”
She told WPTV News,
“I just love it here.”
The dedicated employee, affectionately known as
“McLegend”
among those who know her, told WPTV News that she never thought of working anywhere else.
“I just applied for the school board, and then the next day I applied here at this store, and they called me first,”
Cramer, originally from New Jersey, said.
“So I came here, and I winded up working my way up.”
Cramer is currently
“semi-retired”
and works part-time at various McDonald’s locations. She has had many heartwarming experiences during her time there and has taken photos with Ronald McDonald to celebrate her dedication to the franchise. Cramer expressed that she has no immediate intentions of fully retiring.
“[We are] proud to have you as part of our family,”
the location’s owner Ricky Wade told Cramer during her celebration.
