A woman in Florida has been accused of mistreating her boyfriend’s children after one of them left a Post-it note that said, “Please help us,” as reported by Law & Crime.

Investigations into Katrina Carrillo, 25, began in March when her boyfriend’s 9-year-old son wrote the note asking for help, according to police documents obtained by WPLG, a local ABC affiliate. The note was dated March 4, but it remains unclear where it was found and who discovered it first.

The 9-year-old who wrote the note spoke with forensic interviewers, as detailed in the police report. During the interview, he alleged that Carrillo had pinned him to the ground and beat him, then attempted to suffocate him with a blanket and a pillow over his face. The boy reportedly expressed to the interviewer that it felt as if he “was not breathing.”

A 17-year-old boy from Florida was taken into custody on attempted murder charges for allegedly trying to poison his mother with milk laced with bleach, according to the NY Post

The mother, whose identity has not been disclosed, said she poured herself a glass of milk on the morning of April 19, took a sip, and detected an “intense chemical” taste, as reported by Volusia County police to WESH.

Recently released bodycam footage captures the moment the mother and her other son detailed the incident to the police, who eventually discovered the suspect hiding in an upstairs room.

“He put the Clorox in the milk,” the confused mother told the officer. “You poured it into your glass and had some — how much do you think you had?” the deputy asked. “I think I had a little bit, and I tasted it,” she responded.

The Volusia County deputy confirmed that the milk the woman drank had a strong odor of bleach. The 17-year-old suspect later admitted he intended to make his adoptive mother ill. He confessed to the act, stating he was unhappy with her and didn’t want to continue living with her. Although the mother did not report any immediate symptoms from the chemicals she consumed, she still requested a medical evaluation.

Florida Woman and Business Partner Arrested for Selling Human Remains on Facebook Marketplace

Kymberlee Schopper, 52, and Ashley Lelesi, co-owners of a curio shop in Florida named Wicked Wonderland, face charges related to the illegal sale of human organs and tissue, according to the Orange City Police Department.

Police launched an investigation in December 2023 following a tip that the store was offering human bones for sale. According to an affidavit, the store’s Facebook page featured images and prices for items like skull fragments, ribs, and vertebrae.

Among the listings were two skull fragments priced at $90, a clavicle and scapula set for $90, and a partial skull for $600. Lelesi reportedly told authorities the shop had been selling bones for years and was unaware of Florida’s restrictions.

She claimed the remains were purchased from private sellers and promised documentation. However, she couldn’t produce it during the investigation. Kymberlee Schopper later provided redacted PayPal records, insisting the bones were educational tools.

Police collected several bone fragments from the store, which the Volusia County Medical Examiner determined came from two individuals. Per ABC News, Kymberlee Schopper was arrested on Thursday and released on $7,500 bail the next day.

Lelesi faces the same charges, though her custody status remains unclear. Despite the charges, the shop’s Facebook page announced a temporary closure, citing a family emergency. Schopper’s arraignment is set for May 1.

A McDonald‘s employee in Florida reportedly choked a 17-year-old girl to the ground after the teen allegedly went behind the counter to get her own ranch dressing, according to police statements cited by the NY Post.

Akeena Sampson, 31, was on duty at a St. Petersburg McDonald’s on April 4 when she “knowingly or willfully” assaulted the teenager, as reported by the Miami Herald. The girl had reportedly gone behind the counter to grab some ranch after the staff did not assist her, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by the paper.

As the girl was walking away, Sampson grabbed her arm and began to attack her. The teenager attempted to break free, but Sampson then seized her neck, “choking her and taking her to the ground,” police said. Sampson is alleged to have continued choking the girl while she was on the floor, leaving her with “visible injuries” on her neck and elbow, as stated in the affidavit.

Authorities also reviewed video footage that reportedly captured the entire incident. Sampson was arrested on a charge of child abuse without great bodily harm. • Man Who Begged Girlfriend To ‘Keep Fighting’ As She Was Fatally Shot During Home Invasion Was Arrested In Connection To The Murder

Man Who Begged Girlfriend To ‘Keep Fighting’ As She Was Fatally Shot During Home Invasion Was Arrested In Connection To The Murder

Saun Rainge Jr. of Florida was apprehended over a year after his girlfriend, Porshe Streeter, 30, was fatally shot while she slept next to their three children, per PEOPLE. The 30-year-old woman was murdered amid a home invasion, which occurred at an Orlando home back on Jan. 13, 2024.

#BenjaminGarmon was also apprehended in connection with Streeter’s murder, facing allegations that he was following orders from Rainge.

When the incident took place, the woman was found dead in the bedroom after Rainge made a 911 call to report the situation. Upon arrival at the scene, officials discovered Rainge with a gunshot wound in his arm. When asked about Streeter’s condition, he pointed to the room and told them that he had just spoke with her.

Initially, Rainge informed officials that the assailant had followed him into the apartment at gunpoint, entering the bedroom and shooting Streeter as she reached for her phone. He claimed he intended to seek aid from neighbors but decided to stay at his son’s request, attending to Streeter and encouraging her to “keep fighting.”

An investigator stated that Rainge’s statement could not be factual due to dried blood around Streeter’s wounds and a medical examiner’s report indicating mild decomposition, suggesting she died earlier. Evidence, including witness statements and security footage, shows that Streeter likely died about two hours before the 911 call. Rainge claimed he was at the home to check on family, but texts between him and Streeter revealed he wasn’t supposed to be there.

Police identified Garmon through security footage and a description from the pair’s 10-year-old child. Both Garmon and Rainge face first-degree murder charges.

  • Transgender Woman Arrested for Using Women’s Restroom, Potentially Marking First Case Under Florida Law

Transgender Woman Arrested for Using Women’s Restroom, Potentially Marking First Case Under Florida Law

A transgender woman was arrested last month for attempting to use a women’s restroom at the Florida State Capitol building, according to the Tampa Bay Times. This incident may mark the first arrest under the state’s laws prohibiting transgender individuals from using restrooms and other facilities that align with their gender identity.

Marcy Rheintgen, a 20-year-old resident of Illinois, was apprehended by Capitol police and charged with trespassing after she attempted to enter the women’s restroom at the State Capitol. In hopes of making a symbolic statement, the transgender college student had informed police and lawmakers in advance of her intentions. She provided them with a photograph of her identification and specified the restroom she planned to use.

    Rheintgen Speaks Out

“I know that you know in your heart that this law is wrong and unjust,” Rheintgen said in the letter. On March 19, police approached her at the Capitol in an attempt to dissuade her from proceeding with her plans. However, Rheintgen went ahead and tried to use the restroom, resulting in her arrest.

Initially, the officers informed Rheintgen that they would issue a notice to appear before a judge and allow her to go free. However, they later deemed her unsuitable for release after she became “sassy,” expressing interest that she might attempt to use the restroom again, as detailed in the arrest affidavit. Rheintgen spent the night in custody and was released the next day.

She mentioned that she did not expect to be arrested and now regrets the entire experience, according to the Times. “I got arrested, and I got sent to jail because of Gov. DeSantis’s policies – like that’s crazy, that’s crazy,” Rheintgen said. Florida has enacted a number of anti-LGBTQ+ “don’t say gay” laws, including one prohibiting transgender individuals from using restrooms, changing areas, and sleeping facilities that align with their gender identity in government and other public institutions.
