Joe Exotic’s Spouse Deported to Mexico Following His Release from Prison, Reports Say

Joe Exotic, famously known as “The Tiger King,” is back in the news following reports that his husband was deported to Mexico shortly after his release from prison, as reported by TMZ.

A representative for Joe confirmed to the outlet that Jorge Marquez Flores, 33, was deported to Mexico on Friday after being freed from a Texas prison. Just a day prior, the “Tiger King” star had shared on social media that Jorge was taken to an ICE Detention Center for a hearing regarding his status in the U.S. Ultimately, he was sent back to Mexico just hours later, according to sources.

Joe and Jorge got engaged in October 2024 and later tied the knot in April while still incarcerated. Jorge was serving a sentence for immigration-related offenses, while Joe is facing a 21-year prison term for his role in a murder-for-hire scheme aimed at his former co-star Carole Baskin. Previously, Joe had mentioned that he and Jorge intended to leave the United States once they were released from prison.

  • Mexican Security Chief Confirms Cartel Family Members Crossed Into U.S. As Part of Deal with Trump Administration

Mexican Security Chief Confirms Cartel Family Members Crossed Into U.S. As Part of Deal with Trump Administration

On Tuesday, a Mexican security official revealed that 17 relatives of cartel leaders made their way into the U.S. last week. This move was part of an agreement involving a son of the former Sinaloa Cartel chief and the Trump administration, per AP News.

Omar García Harfuch, the Mexican Security Secretary, confirmed a report by independent journalist Luis Chaparro regarding the entrance of family members of Ovidio Guzman Lopez, who was extradited to the U.S. in 2023. During a radio interview, García Harfuch indicated that it was evident to Mexican authorities that this occurred following negotiations between Guzmán López and the U.S. government.

Guzmán Lopez is among the brothers who are currently managing a faction of the Sinaloa Cartel following the imprisonment of the infamous Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán in the United States. Footage showed the family members crossing the border from Tijuana with their luggage, approaching U.S. agents awaiting them.

Last week, there were speculations that the younger Guzmán would enter a guilty plea to avoid facing trial on multiple drug trafficking charges in the U.S. after his extradition in 2023. García Harfuch believed this was the case because the former cartel leader, whose lawyer mentioned in January that discussions with U.S. authorities had started, seemed to be accusing members of other criminal organizations as part of a cooperation deal.

García Harfuch stated that none of the family members were being sought by Mexican authorities and emphasized that the U.S. government under President Donald Trump “needs to share information” with Mexican prosecutors, which has not yet occurred. His confirmation coincided with the U.S. Attorney General’s Office announcing charges against several top cartel leaders for “narcoterrorism,” marking the first time this has happened since the Trump administration designated certain cartels as foreign terrorist organizations.

12 Bodies Discovered In Mass Grave Near US Border In Mexico, According To Reports

Authorities in northern Mexico discovered 12 skeletons in 11 hidden graves near the US border during a three-day search last week. The graves were in Ascencion, near El Paso, Texas, according to the Chihuahua state prosecutor. If you’re unaware, Mexican cartels and other criminals often use secret graves for their victims. Mexico currently has 120,000 missing people due to these criminal activities, per the New York Post

On Dec. 18, Mexican officials found the first pit and extended their search, discovering a second and third pit nearby, all including bones, per the state prosecutor. Over the following two days, they uncovered eight more hidden graves with bones.

    The state prosecutor said,

“The exhumations were processed by forensic anthropologists and experts from Forensic Services, who collected and packaged evidence such as spent shells of various calibers.”

“The undetermined bones and the evidence found were transferred to the laboratories of the Forensic Medical Service in Cd. Juárez, for analysis and investigations to determine identities, cause and time of death,”

    the statement added.

  • Mexico Tests Cellphone App That Allows Migrants To Send Alert If They Believe They’re About To Be Detained

Mexico Tests Cellphone App That Allows Migrants To Send Alert If They Believe They’re About To Be Detained

In response to Trump’s mass deportation threats, Mexico is working on a mobile app for migrants to alert relatives and consulates if they believe they’re about to be apprehended by the U.S. immigration department, says senior official, according to the Associated Press

Juan Ramón de la Fuente, Mexico’s foreign affairs secretary, mentioned the app is undergoing

    “small-scale testing”

and works well. It lets users send alert notifications to selected relatives and the closest Mexican consulate, serving as a panic button.

    He went on to say,

“In case you find yourself in a situation where detention is imminent, you push the alert button, and that sends a signal to the nearest consulate.”

U.S. officials must notify consulates when detaining foreign citizens. Mexico increased consular staff and legal aid to assist migrants who are facing deportation. De la Fuente anticipates the app’s release in January but didn’t confirm if it includes a deactivation feature for false alerts.

The government has established a 24-hour call center to assist migrants with questions and concerns.

  • Mexico To Open Up Shelters For Over 12,000 Of Its Citizens Deported During Trump’s Illegal Immigrant Crackdown

Mexico To Open Up Shelters For Over 12,000 Of Its Citizens Deported During Trump’s Illegal Immigrant Crackdown

Mexico is preparing to welcome back its citizens who have been living in the U.S. illegally, as reported by the NY Post. Officials are set to open over 12,000 beds in shelters nationwide to accommodate these individuals.

According to Baja California Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, the 25 planned shelters, each designed to hold 500 people, will commence operations on the day President-elect Trump is inaugurated.

“This is a strategic plan to accommodate exclusively people who get deported after Jan. 20,”

Olmeda said. Olmeda expressed that she takes Trump’s warnings about mass deportations seriously.

“What we do know, throughout his campaign, he threatened to do this, and since he was already president of the United States, we believe this time he will be stricter and tougher when it comes to deportations,”

    she said.

“We are working to get ready and receive our migrants.”

These shelters will exclusively serve Mexican citizens being returned to their country and will not accommodate migrants deported from other nations.

“These shelters that are being planned are for those being repatriated who are coming from north to south, but no foreigners, only Mexicans, this must be made clear — Mexicans will be welcomed back to their country and their human rights will be respected,”

    Olmeda explained.

Five of the shelters will be placed near San Diego, an area known for high rates of illegal crossings at the U.S.-Mexico border, while two others will be established south of El Centro, California. The shelters are intended to temporarily house migrants for a few days until they can be sent back to their hometowns. Each facility designated for either men, women, unaccompanied children, or families.

Nearly 300 People Participated In The Lynching Of 3 Men Accused Of Kidnapping Girl In Mexico

According to CBS News, a crowd in Mexico lynched three men who allegedly kidnapped and robbed a girl. Lynching has become common in the country over the past few years due to communities taking matters into their own hands when it comes to crime. Reports say the lynching occurred on Saturday in San Juan Amecac.

“Three men died after being detained and lynched by residents for the alleged robbery and kidnapping of a minor,”

    said a local government statement.

When authorities arrived at the scene, the men “no longer showed vital signs,” the statement continued.

Nearly 300 people were apart of the killing as they hung and fatally beat the men.

Four Men, Including A Cop Accused Of Accepting Bribes, Was Fatally Shot Near Resort In Cancun

Mexican officials reported that four men, including a suspected corrupt official, were discovered shot dead near a Cancun resort. They were discovered Thursday along a highway leading from Cancun, according to the New York Post

The officer was still on the police force as well as on medical leave when he died, reports noted. An ex-local officer was discovered searching one of the deceased individual’s pockets, who he claimed was a friend. He was later detained by officials.

Authorities suggested that the murdered men might have been involved in helping migrant smugglers. Cancun and Mexico’s Caribbean coast are often used by smugglers to transport migrants illegally, reports added.

Officials noted that the recent killings might relate to a previous raid involving drugs and guns.

  • 12-Year-Old Boy Killed After Drug Dealers On Jet Skis Open Fire On Cancun Beach

12-Year-Old Boy Killed After Drug Dealers On Jet Skis Open Fire On Cancun Beach

A gang of gunmen on jet skis opened fire at a Cancun beach flooded with people and killed a 12-year-old boy.

On Sunday, the gang members were reportedly targeting rival drug dealers on Kukulcán Boulevard in the municipality of Benito Juárez, ABC News reports.

Authorities believe the targeted shooting of the boy was intentional as “attackers arrived by sea, aboard a jet ski shooting at some people presumably in dispute for drug sales.”

“The authorities arrived immediately and the minor was transferred to the hospital where, unfortunately, he lost his life,” prosecutors said.

The Mexican boy and his family live in the area.

Since the incident, the U.S. Department of State has issued a travel advisory for Americans to “exercise increased caution” while traveling. The Mexican cartel is also a serious threat to travelers.

14-Year-Old Utah Girl and Her Two Cousins Who Went Missing In Mexico Found Safe, Uncle Now Faces Kidnapping Charge

A 14-year-old Utah girl and her two young cousins that went missing in Mexico for almost two weeks, have been found safe. Authorities have charged a man in connection to their disappearance, per USA Today

Elizabeth ‘Ely’ Gonzalez was visiting her grandmother in Mexico City before she disappeared on June 30, along with her 6-year-old and 4-year-old cousins.

The girls were found with their uncle. Antonio Mereno, 31, has been accused of kidnapping.

Alma Soreque, the mother of Gonzalez, told ABC4 that she had spoken to her daughter on the morning she went missing. Later, family members informed Soreque that Gonzalez had walked to a nearby convenience store but did not come back. The FBI believe Gonzalez was manipulated by an adult to enter a taxi.

It is suspected that the three missing girls and Antonio Mereno, who is also the father of her cousins, were traveling together. Family members revealed that Mereno

    “abruptly”

traveled to Mexico City on the day the girls went missing. Three girls were recovered in Veracruz, Mexico, at around 9:30 pm local time, along with Mereno.

Antonio Mereno will be extradited to the United States to face charges.

Former Chicago Rap Mogul Evades Life Sentence By Cooperating Against Mexican Drug Cartel, Reports Say

Rudy Acosta III, also known as

    “King Rudy”

in the Hip Hop community, has avoided a permanent prison sentence by assisting authorities in a drug-related case that he was once involved in, according to Hip Hop DX

Despite his involvement in distributing narcotics in Chicago since the 1990s, Acosta was released on Tuesday (September 19) for time served. Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrew Erskine praised Acosta as

“one of the most prolific and successful cooperators with our office, probably in the last decade or so.”

The Legion Records founder and CEO’s cooperation in the investigation has led to charges against 36 individuals involved in drug crimes and public corruption. One notable figure among them is the late Senator Martin Sandoval, who pleaded guilty to corruption charges before passing away in December 2020.

Earlier this year, Acosta III confessed to distributing cocaine as part of a plea agreement. While his activities mainly centered around Chicago, he claimed to have connections with suppliers in Mexico. Upon his arrest and subsequent custody, he spent approximately seven years assisting prosecutors in gathering evidence against individuals within his network.
