RWANDA Police Arrest Serial killer Suspect After Finding Bodies In Kitchen

According To African News, A suspected serial killer has been arrested after the discovery of more than 10 corpses in a pit dug in the kitchen of his Kigali home, Rwandan police and media reported on Wednesday. Police said the 34-year-old suspect met his victims – men and women – in bars and lured them to his rented accommodation on the outskirts of the Rwandan capital.

“He operated by luring his victims, mostly prostitutes, to his home, where he stole their phones and other personal belongings before strangling them and burying them in a pit dug in his kitchen,”

Said Rwandan Bureau of Investigation (RIB) spokesman Thierry Murangira, quoted by local media. The Rwandan media claimed that more than 10 bodies had been found, and a source within the RIB told AFP, on condition of anonymity, that 14 victims had been counted so far.

The RIB spokesman, contacted by AFP, declined to confirm this figure, telling AFP that

“the final number (of victims) will be determined by forensic investigations”.

The suspect had already been arrested in July on suspicion of rape and robbery, but was released on bail for lack of evidence, said spokesman Thierry Murangira.

The investigation followed its course and it was during a search of his home that the bodies were discovered in the kitchen pit.

“The suspect confessed to having learned to kill by watching (videos about) known serial killers. He dissolved some of his victims in acid”. “He studied his victims before luring them (to his home) and favored those most likely to have no close family or friends”

Who would be less concerned about their disappearance.

  • 90% of Money Made By Nigeria’s International Artists Stays Outside the Country Says Filmmaker CHARLES NOVIA

90% of Money Made By Nigeria’s International Artists Stays Outside the Country Says Filmmaker CHARLES NOVIA

Reports by Arise News, Filmmaker and CEO Teen Africa TV Charles Novia has said the new Ministry of Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy, overseen by Barr. Hannatu Musawa, should look into creating structures that direct the revenue of the creative economy to contribute greatly to the Nigerian economy rather than the international scene. In an interview with Arise News on Monday, Novia spoke of the numerous interests and investments in the sector right now.

The Culture and Creative industry has been described as a good potential to tap into and contribute to the Nigerian economy if properly harnessed. He stated that the new ministry will have to address the money made from these industries leaving the country, and not really contributing to the Nigerian economy.

    He said,

Burna Boy would do maybe a million or 2 million dollars or sell 10 million dollars worth of streams, I can tell you that 90% of that money is in the US. It doesn’t come to Nigeria. “Any young artist who ‘blows’, becomes popular, has a big hit, shifts out of the country immediately. “We are not feeling much of that impact here because the structures for supporting those artists within the touring systems are not here.”

Novia said the minister might take time to get used to the industry saying,

“We might have a square peg in a round hole.“ That is not what we need now. We need to have policy discussions with people in the industry and then we set the agenda right for her.”

    He said,

“We are not speaking with one voice, so we need to start getting ourselves into a regulatory framework to begin to push for the right things for our own people, so the minister can help in that regard”.

He also highlighted the blurred lines between the industries, including Arts, Culture, Creative Economy and Tourism, and the importance of delineating the parastatals under them.

Officers approached a building where the gang was operating, and the suspects opened fire, which they returned, according to officials.

The gang was suspected of robbing armored vans used for carrying cash from banks and had been under surveillance for days. The shootout started at around 1pm this afternoon and the police returned fire. The shooting lasted about an hour and a half. It was a war. When it finally ended, we found that 16 men and 2 women had been killed, informed Fannie Masemola, South Africa National Police Commissioner.

We can say that bombs that are used in CIT (Cash-In-Transit) crimes were also found.
