Teen Boy Playing With Nerf Guns Was Mistakenly Killed By Real Gun, 18-Year-Old Suspect Arrested and Charged

According to the Phoenix Police Department, a tragic incident occurred when a teenager was playing with Nerf guns and was mistakenly shot by a real gun. 13-year-old, Earlric Reynolds, was taken to the hospital but sadly did not survive, according to The Sacramento Bee

During a playful session with Nerf guns, the tragic incident took place when an 18-year-old accidentally fired a real gun, causing fatal injuries to Earlric. The unnamed 18-year-old and others then relocated Earlric to a parking lot and later hid the firearm, officials said. 

He was later arrested and charged with

“manslaughter, misconduct involving weapons and tampering with evidence,”

authorities say, according to reports. 

The investigation is ongoing.
