Dothan Police have charged two women from Dothan, Alabama for providing false information to investigators regarding a sexual assault incident in February. Erika Holloway, a 19-year-old, claimed she was sexually abused at a residence on Choctaw Street, per WDHN Dothan

Lt. Scott Owens stated in a release on Tuesday that Erika Holloway and Chasity Scrimpsher, the witness, provided multiple statements to detectives regarding the alleged crime as well as the suspect. However, during the investigation, inconsistencies were discovered in their story.

Lt. Owens revealed that Holloway and Scrimpsher confessed to lying after they were confronted by officials. As a result, they were charged with falsely reporting to law enforcement. The accused person was cleared of any involvement in the case.
