In Arizona, a woman has sued her plastic surgeon, claiming he operated on her while intoxicated, causing her distress. Dr. Bradley Becker, a plastic reconstructive surgeon specializing in

“breast and body”

procedures, is mentioned in local reports and his Instagram bio, per the New York Post

The patient, Wendy Ellsworth, revealed in an interview with Phoenix New Times,

“It’s hard to feel like you can go out when you feel like Frankenstein.”

Ellsworth underwent a tummy tuck and breast reduction procedure with Dr. Becker. In September, she filed a lawsuit against him in Maricopa County Superior Court, alleging

“medical negligence,”

“battery,”

and

“intentional infliction of emotional distress.”

Ellsworth expressed her suspicion of Dr. Becker smelling like alcohol prior to the surgery. Despite her concerns, she proceeded with the operation after paying.

The lawsuit claimed that there was excess skin dangling from her body that she thought should have been eliminated during the surgical procedure.

Before the surgery, Ellsworth had a suspicion that something was suspicious. She expressed how it affected her social life, as she avoided family gatherings and dressing up, resorting to wearing tight undergarments to hide the extra skin.

The woman sensed something was amiss when the surgeon skipped the usual marking process and immediately said,

“Let’s go to the operating room.”

According to the local report, the initial procedure cost $16,000, but Ellsworth had to pay an additional $25,000 for a corrective procedure. To afford it, her husband took a second job.

In response to the initial complaint, Dr. Becker denied consuming alcohol before surgery and claimed that the procedure met the standard of care, as reported by the Phoenix New Times.
