A substitute teacher in North Las Vegas has been charged with child abuse after making indecent comments to students. She also attempted to make two children kiss, according to KLAS. The incident occurred on October 10 at Legacy Traditional School – North Valley, and was reported to the police on October 12.

The teacher, identified as Rasheda Rose, 29, was arrested on November 1.

The inappropriate remarks were made while Rose was teaching a sixth-grade class. The school has stated that the 29-year-old teacher was provided by an external agency.

Parents received an email from the school two days after the incident, informing them about the inappropriate behavior. According to one parent, Robynn Bell, the students

“felt extremely uncomfortable.”

Some parents expressed their concerns and blamed the school’s administrators for the unfortunate encounter.

The North Las Vegas Police Department removed Rose from her teaching duties and placed her on leave following the allegations, according to NLVPD. She was later booked into the North Las Vegas Community Correctional Center and is facing two charges of child abuse.

This incident has raised concerns among parents and the community, highlighting the importance of ensuring the safety and well-being of students in schools.

“The principal needs to do something because just a simple email is not going to cut it,”

said Anais Gallegos, a parent of two.
