The Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office announced on Tuesday, March 26, that three staff members of New Arisens Childcare Solutions have been accused of endangering the child’s welfare and conspiring to commit the act. On February 1, Camron Banks arrived at his daughter’s day care center thirty minutes before its closing time, only to discover that the building was locked and without any lights, as reported by McClatchy News.

“Nobody even knew where she was at,”

Banks told KYW-TV. According to WTXF, the police attempted to contact the owner and manager of New Arisens, but they were unsuccessful in completely opening the steel gate that blocked the front door. Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small stated in a media briefing that firefighters were called to cut through the gate.

The police discovered the baby sitting in her car seat, covered with a blanket, in a dark corner, as reported by WTXF. Jessy Flores, the baby’s mother, shared with WCAU that the owner of the day care apologized but did not offer an explanation for the incident.

“Nobody knew when she last ate,”

Flores told the station.

“Nobody knew when she was changed, nobody knew who she was with,”

she said. According to WCAU, Flores reported that her daughter was dehydrated but okay.
