After years of in and out of court sessions, A$AP Rocky re-enters a not-guilty plea in a recent filing. This is not the first time he has refused to be accountable for an alleged shooting involving A$AP Relli, which happened in 2021.

A$AP Rocky Heads to Trial Following A Judge’s Ruling in November

A$AP Relli has since claimed that following his fallout with A$AP Rocky, the rapper aimed at him with a gun. The incident is said to have taken place in 2021 outside a Hollywood hotel. For months, A$AP Rocky pleaded not guilty, but evidence submitted in court in Nov. 2023 convinced the judge that there should be a trial.

Rolling Stone added that A$AP Rocky was allegedly caught on surveillance footage shooting at A$AP Relli. Though it was nearly impossible to see clearly, there was an altercation. Relli has since claimed that Rocky was involved, while his accusations have been met with stiff defense.

Rocky, who currently shares two kids with Rihanna, has been charged with two counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm. If guilty, he may go to jail for nine years.

A$AP Rocky Pleads Not Guilty Ahead Of Trial

Amid what is at stake, Rocky intends to go head to head against Relli, and his not-guilty plea is proof that he believes in his innocence. According to Rocky’s attorney, Joe Tacopina:

“We have a lot of evidence that we have a strong suspicion the prosecutors don’t know about.”

A pre-trial hearing date has been slated for March 6. While Rocky feels confident of his chances against Relli, insiders whisper about his romance with Rihanna. A source claimed that the rapper is a bit edgy, and it has tensed up their romance and sex life.
