    It has been revealed that Fugees rapper Pras Michel worked closely with the FBI as a federal informant, according to court proceedings obtained by Rolling Stone. 

    Pras Michel is reportedly on trial for

    “conspiring to make illegal campaign contributions using foreign funds, witness tampering, and failing to register as a foreign agent of the Chinese government,”

    AllHipHop reported. He faces up to 22 years in prison if convicted. 

    The Fugee rapper testified in his defense Tuesday where he talked about his relationship with Malaysian financier Jho Low and admitted to

    “voluntarily”

    meeting with FBI agents regarding

    “China’s attempt to extradite dissident Chinese billionaire Guo Wengui with the help of Low,”

    Rolling Stone reported.

    “I took it upon myself to report because I thought the FBI should know,”

    Michel told the court.

    Prosecutors accuse Michel of accepting millions from Low to help

    “illegally funnel money to Obama’s reelection campaign and lobby Donald Trump’s administration.”

    He has pleaded not guilty to

    “federal counts of conspiracy and falsifying records.”

    Pras claims he’s made no political donations on Low’s behalf.

    Kawhi Leonard’s Sister Sentenced To Life In Prison For Brutally Beating Elderly Woman To Death

    The sister of NBA star Kawhi Leonard was sentenced to life in prison for viciously beating an 84-year-old woman to death at a California casino and robbing the victim, Law & Crime reported. 

    Kimesha Monae Williams, 39, was handed a life sentence without the possibility of parole, Friday, for the 2019 murder of Afaf Assad, according to Press-Enterprise. 

    On Aug. 31, 2019, at about 7:30 a.m., Williams reportedly spotted Assad and her 94-year-old husband walking into the Pechanga Resort Casino. Williams and her accomplice Candace Tai Townsel, 42, tailed the victim and waited until she was alone. The pair followed Assad to the bathroom while Townsel remained outside as a lookout, reports reveal. The elderly woman was then

    “ambushed”

    as she exited the stall. The woman reportedly stole her purse and brutally pounded her, leaving her bleeding on the bathroom floor.

    Assad suffered a broken skull and bleeding to the brain. She sadly passed away in the hospital four days later. According to the Press-Enterprise, the women were allegedly banned from the casino in 2015 for stealing a patron’s wallet. 

    The two were convicted in February by a Riverside County jury on charges of murder, robbery, and elder abuse. Before Superior Court Judge Timothy F. Freer handed down the life sentence Williams had her attorney read a statement apologizing to Assad’s family.

    “I am so sorry for your loss,”

    Williams wrote, according to the Press-Enterprise.

    “I have been praying for you and your family every day. I am not responsible for the death of Mrs. Assad. Although the courts have found me guilty of the charges, we all know the truth, and that there is one judge, and that is God, and that he knows the truth.”

    A white, pro-life, evangelical Christian couple gave birth to black triplets, according to a 2016 article published by the Washington Post. 

    Aaron and Rachel Halbert had already had it in their hearts to adopt more children into their growing family. Already adopting a Black son and a biracial daughter, the couple wilfully decided to partake in embryo adoption to expand their bunch. The couple said they wanted to conceive two Black embryos being that they already adopted Black children.

    “Knowing that it is often more challenging to find adoptive homes in the United States for non-Caucasian children we informed the agency that we were willing to accept any child except a fully Caucasian child,”

    Aaron told the outlet. 

    However, what started as a twin embryo would later split into three, creating triplet girls. The couple gave birth to three healthy African American daughters and expressed their joy in creating a

    “multi-ethnic”

    family.

    “The beauty of a multi-ethnic family is found there, in the fact that the differences are the very thing that makes ours richer and fuller,”

    Halbert told the outlet.

    “It forces you to think in a new way about the way you think, speak, act, and live.”

    According to the article, the two did not struggle with conceiving on their own but had a

    “shared desire”

    of adopting, in hopes of helping children who weren’t fortunate enough to receive that from their own parents.

    “We see protection of children not as charity, nor as part of a political agenda, but as something near to the heart of God,”

    6-Year-Old Girl and Her Parents Shot After Ball Rolls Into Neighbor’s Yard

    Police are searching for a North Carolina man who shot a 6-year-old and her parents after their basketball rolled into his yard, reports NY Post.

    The suspect, Robert Louis Singletary opened fire at around 8 p.m. Tuesday in Gaston County. Witnesses told the local station that a group of kids was playing basketball when the ball accidentally rolled onto his lawn. Singletary seemingly angry according to witnesses, chased a neighbor down the street as he fired several shots, they reportedly said.

    Singletary then returned emptying his firearm on 6-year-old Kinsley White, and her parents Ashley Hilderbrand, and father, William White.

    “He looked at my husband and my daughter and told them, ‘I’m going to kill you,’”

    Hilderbrand told the station. In an attempt to protect his family, William reportedly drew his weapon but was struck In the back. 

    The family was taken to a local hospital. According to WSOC-TV, the child had to receive stitches on her face from bullet fragments. The mother was thankfully only grazed by a bullet and the two are recovering at home. The father remains in the hospital in stable condition, police said.

    Authorities say that Singletary is still at large. He faces charges of 

    “four counts of first-degree attempted murder, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serious injury, and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon,”

    Gaston County police said.

    “I want to say to the people of Gaston County — this sort of violence will not stand,”

    Police Chief Stephen Zill said in a statement.

    Transgender Sex Worker Living in Australia Infected Client with HIV, Now Fighting to Stay in the Country

    A transgender sex worker living in Australia was arrested for infecting a client with HIV. She is now fighting to re-enter the country after being deported back to her home country of New Zealand, NY Post reported. 

    CJ Palmer, who has been living in Australia since 2006 on a visa, reportedly worked as a sex worker in the country. According to Ms. Palmer’s legal counsel, she was diagnosed with HIV and had been taking medication since 2016. However, she failed to inform her client about her diagnosis who later found out he contracted the virus after their encounter. 

    In 2018, Palmer was convicted in the Western Australia District Court on one count of grievous bodily harm, reports state. She was sentenced to six years in prison which was lowered to four years on appeal, the NY Post reported. After completing her sentence Palmer was deported to New Zealand following a decision from the Minister to discontinue her visa.

    Lawyers of Palmer’s from the HIV/Aids Legal Centre are now trying to overturn the decision.

    “The evidence before the (immigration) minister was quite clear in my respectful submission, and it was the Ms. Palmer had consistently taken her medication since 2016,”

    Mr. Kaplan said in a statement.

    “The evidence established that HIV cannot be transmitted from A to B, if A has an undetectable viral load as Palmer did,”

    he continued. 

    According to the outlet, Palmer previously told the court that she wanted to remain in Australia to keep her

    “connections to communities including people with HIV, transgender people, and sex workers.”

    The hearing has been postponed.

    Woman Confesses to Stealing $2.8 Million from Holocaust Survivor in Twisted Roman Scheme

    A Florida woman confessed to stealing $2.8 million in life savings from an 87-year-old holocaust survivor she met online, NY Post reported. 

    Peaches Stergo reportedly convinced the elderly victim to deposit lump sums of money into her bank account on numerous occasions. The two reportedly met in 2017 on a dating website. Stergo initially started by asking the victim to borrow money to pay her lawyer who she claimed withheld funds from an injury settlement, according to the feds per the Post. 

    The 36-year-old woman is accused of using the funds to support her lavish lifestyle. According to the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, Stergo purchased

    “a house in a gated community, a Corvette, a boat, lavish vacations and designer items, including Rolex watches,”

    they said in a Friday news release. Stergo went on to collect 62 checks totaling almost $3 million from the elderly man, reports reveal. She drained the man of his saving which eventually caused him to lose his apartment. 

    Stergo pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud and faces up to 20 years in prison. She will also have to pay $2.8 million in restitution and relinquish the more than 100 luxury items she obtained including designer clothes, purses, and lots of jewelry, reports state. 

    “Peaches Stergo stole the life savings from an 87-year-old Holocaust survivor who was just looking for companionship.  This conduct is sick – and sad,”

    US Attorney Damian Williams said in a statement.

    “… Thanks to the hard work of the FBI and this Office, Stergo is being held accountable for her fraud.”

    Pizza Delivery Man Hailed A Hero After Tripping Suspect Who Attempted To Escape Police

    A pizza delivery man is being praised for his swift efforts in stopping a suspect who was on the run from the police, reports Insider. 

    Tyler Morrell was on the clock, delivering a box of pizza when he got caught in the middle of a high-speed chase. A doorbell camera caught the entire moment on video and was posted to TikTok. According to the Brookhaven Police Department, the pursuit occurred at around 3:30 p.m. Sunday after receiving a call about a stolen Kia. The suspect, an unnamed  17-year-old, crashed on Preston Street in Middletown Township, Pennsylvania, according to WPVI. 

    When the suspect tried taking off on foot Morrell stepped in tripping the perp, and causing him to fall to the ground. Police arrested the teen along with a 19-year-old who was in the passenger seat, reports note. 

    “I started walking towards the road, but I couldn’t do anything with my hands because I’m holding the pizza, so I just stuck my leg out,”

    Morrell told the outlet. 

    Brookhaven Chief of Police Michael Vice thanked Morrell for his quick thinking.

    “He gave us the help we needed, by tripping him it gave us the time to catch up with the gentleman… In this case, this guy ultimately saved the day,”

    he said. 

    Morell was still able to deliver the pizza to the residence with customers giving him a “10 out of 10” review.

    TikToker Claims She Got Ringworm’s All Over Her Face After Sharing Makeup Brushes with Friends

    A TikTok user from the UK has gone viral after revealing that she suffered a ringworm outbreak all over her face after not cleaning her makeup brushes right after her friends used them, NY Post reported. 

    Louaira Dela Cruz, 22, documented the horrifying experience on TikTok, sharing several updated videos and warnings to viewers about the disastrous incident.

    “I don’t know what it is and doctors don’t know what it is, but — trigger warning — this is what’s been going on,”

    Dela Cruz said initially when she recorded the rashes on her face. 

    “That is ringworm. How do the doctors not know that? Wow!”

    one TikTok user commented under the post. Two days later Dela Cruz returned to TikTok with an update confirming that the red circular rashes on her face were indeed ringworms.

    “Skin update… I know sharing is caring, but you best believe I’m not letting anyone touch my makeup brushes or sponges ever again, because this is ringworm,”

    she stated.

    Ringworm is caused by a fungus that can cause irritation to the skin, including itching, redness, and circular rashes that can spread if left untreated. According to the CDC, ringworms can be spread through environmental circumstances or by sharing towels, bed linen, and other personal items.

    On Thursday Dela Cruz shared another update with the caption,

    “Hopefully the worst of it has passed and now just healing.”

    Seemingly excited about her recovery, Dela Cruz has shared that she has learned her lesson from this experience and will not be sharing her makeup brushes with friends again.

    “I feel like we’re in the recovery process,”

    she said.

    Academy Award-winning actor, Morgan Freeman, has called out his disliking of the term ‘African-American’ and the idea of ‘Black History Month’, in an exclusive interview with The Times London per DEADLINE. 

    Freeman spoke to The Times London about his long-lasting prosperous career as well as his new film A Good Person, where he jumped into the topic of the Ameican made tradition.

    “Black History Month is an insult. You’re going to relegate my history to a month?”

    he told the outlet. 

    “Also ‘African-American’ is an insult. I don’t subscribe to that title. Black people have had different titles all the way back to the n-word and I do not know how these things get such a grip, but everyone uses ‘African-American’. What does it really mean? Most black people in this part of the world are mongrels. And you say Africa as if it’s a country when it’s a continent, like Europe,”

    he added. 

    The ‘Glory’ actor expressed his enjoyment with seeing more inclusion on the screen which was not common when he was growing up, bringing up actor Sidney Poitier as one of his inspirations.

    “Generationally, though, I do think we’re moving ahead in leaps and bounds… LGBTQ, Asians, black, white, interracial marriages, interracial relationships. All represented. You see them all on screen now and that is a huge jump,”

    Freeman, now 85, reflected.

    Former Teacher at Kanye West’s School Claims Students Were not Allowed to Learn About the Holocaust

    A lawsuit made by a former substitute teacher at Kanye West‘s Donda Academy, is claiming that students were not allowed to learn about the Holocaust, reports Insider. 

    Cecilia Hailey was reportedly hired as a substitute teacher in November of last year and was terminated in March, along with her daughter Chekarey Byers who also taught there. She is now suing the school for wrongful termination. Hailey has previously spoken out against the institution for feeding students only sushi for lunch, now she is saying that the Academy withholds teaching certain historical topics in their curriculum including the Holocaust. 

    “No African American History Month,”

    Hailey told The Daily Beast.

    “Do not teach the Holocaust course. That was out. Don’t even mention that. We wanted to do Asian American History Month in May, and that was not going to be allowed.”

    Hailey also revealed additional regulations added to Donda’s curriculum such as students not being allowed to watch Disney or Pixar films and prohibiting class trips to see

    “The Nutcracker,”

    she told The Daily Beast. Hailey also made complaints to school administrators about the students being behind in math, reports claim. 

    The lawsuit claims that the pair was terminated

    “in retaliation for raising concerns about issues at the school,”

    Insider reported. 

    These allegations come as last year West was facing scrutiny for his comments towards the Jewish community where he wrote on Twitter that he was

    “going death con 3”

    on Jewish people and declaring that he liked Hitler. The rapper/ entrepreneur has since come out saying that he

    “likes Jewish people again,”

    after rewatching Jonah Hills’ performance in the movie 21 Jump Street.
