    North Carolina Murder Suspect Mistakenly Released from Prison Turns Himself Back In, Police Say

    A North Carolina murder suspect was mistakenly released from prison this week due to an incorrect court order that said his charges had been dismissed. He has since turned himself back in to authorities as of Saturday, reports Fox News. 

    Jaylan Noah Davis, 25, was arrested late last year for fatally shooting Arthur Mikulski, 42, on Nov. 26. Davis was reportedly charged with

    “murder, two counts of shooting into an occupied property and a convicted felon in possession of a firearm,”

    according to FOX Carolina.

    Davis is being held without bond at the Mecklenburg County Detention Center, reports reveal. The Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Department sent out an alert on Friday, a day after he was released, calling Davis

    “dangerous.”

    He is expected to be back in court on Monday. 

    “I am grateful that it appears that no one was harmed as a result of this mishap, though I am sure it was an emotional rollercoaster for the families involved. Our criminal justice system will never be flawless but we will learn from this experience and improve our processes accordingly,”

    Sheriff Garry McFadden said in a statement.

    A New Jersey man is accused of vandalizing a public school in Paterson with feces, ABC News reported. 

    Mohamad Bekheet was arrested and charged with bias intimidation, criminal mischief, and harassment after video surveillance caught him smearing feces on a sign in front of the South Paterson elementary school, according to the outlet. 

    Bekheet reportedly spelled out

    “Allah”

    with his feces which New Jersey’s council on American-Islamic relations believes to be a hate crime. An investigation is still ongoing.

    Alabama Mass Shooting Leaves At Least One Confirmed Dead and More Than 20 Injured

    More than 20 people have been injured, and multiple children were killed with numbers still rising, following a mass shooting during a Sweet 16 in Dadeville, Alabama, Saturday night, according to law enforcement on the scene, per CBS News. 

    The shooting occurred at around 10:30 p.m. at the Mohagany Masterpiece dance studio near East Green Street and North Broadnax Street in Dadeville, Alabama, according to the twice weekly newspaper. 

    WRBL said the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s State Bureau of Investigation, Dadeville Police, and the Tallapoosa County Sheriff’s Office have all responded to the scene, citing law enforcement sources. 

    Law enforcement officials have not confirmed how many people were killed in the shooting as of yet however, more than 20 people were shot and have been transported to the hospital in unknown conditions. Police have not released any information regarding if any individual connected to the shooting was found or is in custody. 

    Dadeville is a small town with a population of about 3,000, according to the US Census Bureau. It is located about 80 miles southeast of Birmingham and 120 miles southwest of Atlanta, reports note. 

    The tragedy comes hours after Louisville endured its third mass shooting in the last week.

    Twitter Reacts to Man Receiving 70-Year Prison Sentence For Spitting at Officers

    People are speaking out against Texas’s justice system after a man was given a 70-year prison sentence for spitting at police.

    Larry Pearson, 36, was charged with 2 counts of harassment of a public servant and handed a 70-year life sentence, Wednesday. According to TMZ, Pearson is accused of spitting at 2 Lubbock police officers who arrested him in May 2022 on domestic violence charges following an incident with a woman who said Pearson hit her in the face.

    Prosecutors alleged that Pearson became irate after finding out the woman was not being taken in too, and that is when the spitting began, reports note. Pearson reportedly kicked at the doors inside the cop car and spit at the cops when they opened the car door. According to prosecutors, Pearson continued spitting at officers upon arrival at the Lubbock County Detention Center.

    Pearson reportedly had prior convictions for

    “family violence and aggravated robbery”

    and, consequently, the

    “minimum sentence the jury could impose was 25 years,”

    reports reveal. During the trial’s closing arguments, prosecutor Jessica Gorman asked the jury to

    “send a message”

    to not only Pearson but to

    “society.”

    Pearson was handed a 70-year sentence that has been stirring up outrage amongst the Twitter community. 

    Rapper Meek Mill has since spoken out about the harsh sentencing,

    “Nah this action level!!!!! Ain’t no way they can give us that much time for a misdemeanor like spitting… ion care what they gone try to say his record is! No regard for black life in that courtroom,”

    he tweeted.

    A Brazilian woman who married a rag doll her mom had made for her, announced that she is pregnant with her second child on TikTok, per Express World News. 

    Meirivone Rocha Moraes has gone viral over the past few years over her marriage to an inanimate object she calls Marcelo. The 37-year-old has been documenting her whirlwind romance with the doll via TikTok. In her latest saga, Meirivone told the world that the couple is expecting their second child together and has high hopes that this will

    “strengthen their relationship,”

    after Marcelo’s cheating past. 

    The two reportedly share a rag doll son and hope to have a girl this go around. Meirivone flashed a positive pregnancy in a video posted to TikTok expressing how

    “happy”

    they are.

    “We really wanted to get pregnant again, Marcelo kept asking when we’re going to get another baby, and I said one day,”

    she explained adding that she started to feel pregnancy symptoms recently.  

    Meirivone said the two would

    “love to have a little princess”

    but will

    “love them just the same”

    if it is another boy. The couple has been going viral since images surfaced of their wedding. 

    Ms. Moraes’s mother originally built her daughter the rag doll after receiving complaints from her about being single. Meirivone claims she quickly fell in love with Marcelo and learned she was pregnant shortly after they met. Meirivone said she did not want to have a child out of wedlock, so she arranged a wedding that had 250 family and friends in attendance, according to the outlet. 

    “[When] he entered into my life and it all made sense,”

    she previously stated.

    Target Security Guard Punches Black Woman in the Face After She Demanded Employees Pay For Her Groceries in ‘Slavery Reparations’

    An Ohio woman was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after entering a Target and demanding they pay for her items in

    “slavery reparations,”

    TMZ reported. 

    Last October, a woman identified as Karen Ivery, reportedly walked into a Target located in Blue Ash, Ohio, and racked up on $1,000 worth of groceries. However, when she got to the register she insisted on Target staff paying for the bill with

    “slavery reparations.”

    A Target security guard named Zach Cotter, reportedly stepped in to try to calm the angry customer down, asking her to leave the store without the items. 

    According to the outlet, the woman allegedly charged at Cotter prompting him to stumble into the manager’s office. Surveillance footage obtained by TMZ, shows Cotter then punching Karen in the face causing her to fall to the ground.

    Police arrested Karen at the scene and determined that Zach’s actions were a 

    “justifiable act of self-defense”

    due to him being provoked, reports state. She has since been released. Karen described her protest as her

    “Rosa Parks moment,”

    according to the outlet.

    Japanese Cafe Fired Bartender Allegedly Mixed Her Blood Into The Cocktails She Served

    A Japanese cafe terminated one of their bartenders who they believe served customers cocktails with a side of her blood, reports Insider.

    Mondaiji Cafe in Sapporo, Japan also known as

    “Problem Child Concept Cafe,”

    in English, took to Twitter to announce the termination of an unnamed employee who allegedly mixed her blood in customer’s drinks. The cocktail, named orikaku, is an original drink served at the restaurant and usually includes fruits or other colorful syrups in its recipe. According to the outlet, the owner is accusing the server of adding blood to the list of ingredients.

    “Such an act is no different from part-time job terrorism and is absolutely not acceptable,”

    the cafe tweeted on April 2nd. 

    The cafe owner claims he had to shut the store down for a day to change all the drinking glasses in the store.

    “Please let me continue the store a little longer so I can be happy alone. I’ll clean the store, change glasses, and dispose of alcohol that may have been contaminated. Once again, I am very sorry to have caused you trouble this time,”

    the owner tweeted on behalf of the incident.

    Uber Driver Caught On Camera Attempting To Rape Unconscious Female Passenger

    A disturbing video posted to Twitter shows an Uber driver attempting to sexually assault an unconscious passenger in the back seat of his Taxi, Revolt News reported. 

    The video posted to Twitter by Insane Reality Leaks, captioned

    “Uber driver caught attempting to rap3 young drunk female,”

    shows the Uber driver, seemingly caught off guard by the civilian, hurrying to pull his pants up while the victim lay passed out in the backseat of the vehicle. The person recording can be heard saying

    “Yo, what are you doing?” 

    The cameraman never appeared on video but was able to capture a good image of the suspect. 

    The Uber driver is seen getting out of the backseat and hopping into the driver’s seat of the truck. He can be heard apologizing to the cameraman multiple times. “Month of Ramadan and you’re doing stuff like this?” the man holding the phone asked.

    “I said, ‘Sorry,’”

    the driver replied.

    “What the f**k are you doing?”

    the cameraman asked again. The man recording then places the camera on the huge

    “Uber”

    sticker on the side of the driver’s door as the Uber driver drives off the premises. 

    The video has since garnered over 6 million views. Uber Support has spoken out against the incident.

    “This video is horrifying, and we are taking action. We’ve banned the driver and are in contact with the police and will assist them with any investigation,”

    they wrote under the video. It has not been clarified on where the assault took place.

    Two Teens Arrested For Allegedly Killing 55-Year-Old Man Selling Car During Test Drive

    Dallas police arrested two teens who are suspected of murdering a 55-year-old man during a test drive last month after meeting the victim online for what was supposed to be a possible car sale, Fox News reported. 

    Luis Gutierrez, 18, and Cristian Saucedo, 19, were taken into custody Friday, by the U.S. North Texas Fugitive Task Force in connection to the March 21st murder of 55-year-old Khudhair Hamdan. The two male suspects reportedly met Hamdan at his home for a phony test drive then fatally shot him and dumped his body in the street, according to detectives per the outlet. Police say,

    “Hamdan was found lying unresponsive on in the 700 block of Port Richmond Way in Arlington at around 6 p.m.”

    He was pronounced dead at the hospital. 

    According to Chief of Police Al Jones, who spoke with local reporters, Hamdan was helping a family member sell his vehicle using a digital marketplace app.

    “Mr. Hamdan was simply trying to help a relative sell a car – and now his family’s entire world has been turned upside down,”

    said Chief of Police Al Jones.

    “Violent offenders like these, who are willing to kill a man for a vehicle they abandoned a few minutes later, have no place on our streets.”

    Both men face charges of capital murder. Gutierrez was already in custody for a different case, and will be held on a total bond of $2,110,000 on charges related to both cases, reports reveal. Saucedo is being held on a $500,000 bond, according to Fox News.

    Florida Teacher Arrested For Allegedly Setting Up Student Brawls In The Classroom

    A Florida middle school teacher is accused of hosting fighting matches between students during class, per the NY Post. 

    Police arrested 23-year-old, Angel Footman,  a sixth-grade teacher at Griffin Middle School in Tallahassee after several students reported that she was

    “encouraging”

    one-on-one matches in the classroom. According to WCTV Footman instructed students to squabble for

    “30 seconds”

    as she sat at her desk and watched. Reports claim Footman even laid out ground rules telling students to refrain from recording, be quiet, and don’t pull each other’s hair. 

    According to court documents obtained by WCTV, students said they would schedule their brawls to take place in Footman’s classroom.

    A video recording shows Footman telling students the rules for the fights, the outlet reported. The teacher admitted to not reporting various altercations and not submitting reports of misconduct but claims to have had no involvement in organizing the fights.

    She was taken into custody but has since been released. She is charged with four counts of

    “contributing to the delinquency of a minor,”

    and is to be arraigned on the charges early next month, reports reveal.
