Lemlem is a brand that promotes happy colors, chic pieces, and new casual stripes for all occasional events. The brand is inspired by handwoven patterns.
This brand was founded by Liya Kebede, who discovered that traditional weavers were losing their jobs due to a decline in local demand for their goods.

After recognizing the quality, dedication, and beauty of their work, in 2007, Lemlem started to preserve this ancient art form and simultaneously create job opportunities for local artisans.

Lemlem went further to spread is band across Kenya with their ready-to-wear. They also expanded to Morrocco with their swimwear collection.

The brand ensures its core values of being an inspiring international brand made in Africa that supports the economic growth of preserving the local art of weaving.

Slow fashion is the passion at Lemlem. A brand committed to building a strong, fair, and sustainable fashion industry in Africa, taking a holistic approach to production that values and upholds artisans, craftsmanship, and their communities.

Lemlem Core Resort’s wear collection is hand-woven by artisans in Ethiopia, using traditional weaving techniques. The result is a unique, cotton fabric, that is incredibly soft, breezy, and easy to wear.
