According to Maeve, the founder, her mother’s braiding salon in Perth, Australia, with its braiding tutorials, storytelling, familiar faces, and close-knit community of women with curly, coiled, and textured hair, served as the inspiration behind BREAD.

Starting small, BREAD aims to help customers achieve success on wash-day. The kit 1-wash is like a full bread basket, containing all the essentials you need for a thorough

cleansing routine. It offers a variety of products that can be layered and used between showers, such as hair oil lip gloss for your strands, leave-in conditioning and styling hair cream for overall nourishment.

As a child, Maeva spent significant time in her mother’s braiding salon, immersing herself in the world of beauty and hair products. The scents, visuals, and textures of these products became an integral part of her daily life, symbolizing the art of styling and embracing womanhood.
