Diddy’s mom, Janice Comb, spoke out about her son’s legal troubles on Sunday, September 6. Janice said she was devastated and contended that the allegations against Diddy were all lies. Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested for racketeering and sex trafficking charges in August. He has also been faced with several lawsuits since 2023. However, Diddy’s mom believes he is innocent of the charges raised against him.

Diddy’s Mom Claims His Case Is a “Narrative Created Out of Lies”
Diddy’s mom released a statement through her legal counsel on Sunday about her son’s arrest. The statement read:

“My son is not the monster they have painted him to be, and he deserves the chance to tell his side. It is heartbreaking to see my son judged not for the truth but for a narrative created out of lies. To bear witness [to] what seems to be like a public lynching of my son before he has had the opportunity to prove his innocence is a pain too unbearable to put into words.”

Diddy’s mom noted that her son was entitled to a court hearing to “prove his innocence.” She also mentioned the case with his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura. Diddy’s mom admitted her son was not truthful about the situation. This was regarding the never-before-seen footage of Diddy assaulting Ventura, which CNN published. However, Janice said her son was terrified of the truth, which made him deny the assault. She claimed that Diddy’s legal team settled Ventura’s case out-of-court for that reason.

Diddy’s Mom Claims Victims Want To Defraud Diddy

Janice’s statement came five days after it was revealed that over 100 lawsuits would be filed against Diddy. The charges include alleged rape, sexual assault, and exploitation. The victims are split in half between men and women, and 25 of them were minors at the time. Some of the cases also span as far back as 1991. Texas-based attorney Tony Buzbee, who is representing the victims, further revealed that over 3000 people have come forward with accusations against Diddy.

However, according to Diddy’s mom, the rapper’s accusers were liars. She stated that those individuals saw how quickly Ventura’s case was settled for a huge sum. Thus, they wanted their share of the money. Notably, Ventura received $30 million in her settlement with Diddy. Diddy’s mom noted that those false allegations would only derail true victims’ quest for justice. She lamented how everyone believed the “lies and misconceptions” without giving Diddy a chance.

Diddy’s Mom Accuses The Government of Witch-hunt

Diddy’s mom also berated his legal team’s decision to settle with Ventura rather than contest it. In her statement, she opined that the decision had a ripple effect. Janice stated that the federal government used this decision against her son by interpreting it as an admission of guilt. She claimed that her son was being hounded for his past mistakes. Diddy’s mom also said the feds worsened her son’s case by prosecuting him based on his accusers’ lies.

Diddy was arrested on September 16, and federal prosecutors indicted him a few days later. Since his arrest, Diddy has applied for bail twice but has been denied both. A U.S. district judge rejected both applications on the grounds of protecting the community and witnesses. However, Diddy’s mom called the situation an “injustice” to her son and family. She mourned the loss of her family’s and her son’s dignity, claiming the ordeal was more tedious because no one believed Diddy.

Sean “Diddy” Combs is due in court on October 9 for his next hearing. His lawyers have promised to appeal his denied bail hearing. Hopefully, everyone involved will get justice due to them.
