Surveillance footage captured a man pushing a cart containing his 18-year-old daughter’s lifeless body. Wellington da Silva, 39, was apprehended on Wednesday after confessing to the murder of Raysa da Silva at his home in São Paulo, southeastern Brazil. The tragic event occurred on Sunday, according to the São Paulo Civil Police per the Daily Mail

The surveillance camera outside the apartment captured Wellington struggling with the cart before pushing it into the elevator. The motive behind the crime, as revealed by State Department of Homicide and Personal Protection chief Ivalda Aleixo, stemmed from an argument between the father and daughter regarding their separation months ago. The disagreement escalated when Raysa expressed her support for her mother, leading Wellington to allegedly strangle her.

Disturbingly, Wellington admitted to falling asleep with Raysa’s lifeless body in the apartment before disposing of it on Monday evening. It is alleged that he approached a homeless man and offered him

The authorities have arrested Wellington da Silva, and an investigation into this horrific crime is underway. He faces charges of feminicide, body destruction, and concealment. Authorities initiated a search for a homeless man and have been reviewing security camera footage in the area to support Wellington da Silva’s statements.

Raysa da Silva’s mother filed a missing person report at the local police station on Monday. The next morning, pedestrians noticed a burnt body under a damaged section of road pavement and immediately alerted the police.
