Gospel singer and now Grammy-nominated artist received backlash over the weekend after sharing a video of herself performing on a flight in reaction to her Grammy nomination.
In the clip posted via Instagram, as Bobbi started performing, you could hear the artist being told to sit down. Bobbi replied,
“I sing for the Lord,”
And added,
“I’m doing what the Lord is telling me to do,”
The Grammy nominee said.
The flight attendant, on the other hand, wasn’t pleased and carefully instructed Bobbi, saying,
“If you’re not able to follow my instructions, you will not be able to take this flight.”
Bobbi complied with the request and went on to announce that she’s
“nominated for two Grammys.”
She began to sing her new song,
“We Can’t Forget Him,”
In a slow and soft tone.
However, it’s important to note that the singer is not nominated for a Grammy with any of her songs. A verse she featured on as a vocalist with Maverick City Music,
“The Maverick Way,”
Is nominated for Best Gospel Album at next year’s awards show, earning Bobbi a nomination.
Bobbi took to her Instagram with a post and captioned it,
“At the end of the day, God is glorified!!!! Tell me, how are you choosing love on purpose??? Blessings to you all from your #FearlessFlightSinger.” In the comments section of the same post, she further noted that “no laws” were “broken.”
Some fans dropped a comment,
“love your voice and God blesses you for doing what is right🥰”,
Another said
“Nobody cares, follow the rules”
And then one fan finally said
“Wow he is like an ass to her period! He needs to not be so rude. Better ways to handle it.”
However, Bobbi let the world know that Delta executives reached out, and she pleaded that the flight attendant be pardoned. She shared this via her Instagram in a video posted on Sunday, November 12th, stating that she only wanted the attendant to learn a valuable lesson on how to treat other people.
