The Little Mermaid actress Halle Bailey was somewhat secretive about her pregnancy, which has sparked criticism from online trolls. They are accusing her of lying about her pregnancy status earlier.

Halle Bailey Kept Her Pregnancy News Hidden

All the information fans had about Halle Bailey’s pregnancy was merely speculation, as the young mother managed to keep it under wraps. She limited her public appearances, and even when paparazzi captured photos of her with a baby bump, she chose not to comment. However, during the Christmas holiday, Halle shared a video that revealed her stomach in a Christmas outfit.

According to HotNewHipHop, Halle and her boyfriend DDG welcomed their baby, Halo, last year but waited until this year to share the news. Her Instagram followers were thrilled to see the couple’s adorable little bundle of joy following a heartfelt post from the new family.

In the days that followed this announcement, Halle Bailey has been open about her journey to regain her pre-pregnancy physique, as if pregnancy never happened. While many have been amazed by her post-baby body, some fans are still upset with the actress for concealing her pregnancy. One fan even claimed that she lied about her pregnancy.

Halle Bailey Fires Back Over Hiding Her Pregnancy Status— “I Protected My Peace, Why Are You Mad?”

After facing criticism and trolling, one fan expressed their displeasure with Halle being open about her post-pregnancy experience. The person tweeted:

“I don’t think people are mad she hid her pregnancy. People are more annoyed that she went out of her way to lie and gaslight about it. Then she shaded people and called them desperate. Now, she wants those same ‘desperate’ people to know every little detail.”

Halle responded to the tweet, sharing her unfiltered truth. The singer replied:

“I never lied or even said anything about it, honey. Making a joke about my nose was the furthest I went. I’ll never understand why you are mad. I protected my own peace. Wouldn’t you do the same? And I’m going to share my pictures now if I want to because my son is here safely. If you don’t want to see it, just keep scrolling, baby. Lol. God bless you!”

Dealing with trolls may be the least of Halle’s concerns, as she is already focused on her career as a new mother. She previously shared a photo of herself in the studio, and her sister hinted that an album might already be in the works.
