Indiana Man Arrested For Sexually Assaulting Children At Autism Therapy Center

An Indiana man is now in police custody after admitted to molesting children at a center for autistic children and having child pornography, The Daily Journal reports.

According to police documents, concerned parents went to the Whiteland Police Department after a man admitted to sexually assaulting their daughter. Leomeir V. Kennedy, who worked for Hopebridge Autism Therapy Center as a primary caretaker of young children with autism, used his position to prey on children with special needs.

While being interrogated by detectives, Kennedy admitted to touching the genitalia of two children left in his care at work. During one of the assaults, a coworker caught him in the act, but he convinced them that that the victim continually pulled his hand toward her genitals due to her past of sexual abuse. After searching both his laptop and cellphone, authorities discovered sexually explicit photos of children, including images Kennedy had taken himself.

Kennedy was arrested and has been charged with three counts of child molesting and one count of possession of child pornography. After mentioning his plans to leave the state while speaking with investigators, he is currently being held without bond.
