Jay-Z’s annual Roc Nation brunch is taking a back seat this year. This will count as the third year since its inception that the annual event did not hold. This time, sources say it may be because of Beyoncé’s Grammy performance.
Jay Z’s Roc Nation Brunch Makes the News Yearly
Jay Z and Beyoncé hoisted their host flag in 2011 when they began to welcome friends and celebrities alike for the most talked-about event. However, in 2021 and 2022, the power couple took a hiatus from hosting the event due to the coronavirus outbreak. But their comeback in 2023 was quite the show.
Jay Z’s Roc Nation brunch brought the industry’s finest under one roof as they partied in a private home in Los Angeles. As fans walked in, they were reminded of the essence of the party as photos of previous events were plastered everywhere. Guests also received a welcome package, including a concise orchestra that serenaded them with music through the pathway.
Why the Brunch Was Canceled
PageSix has it that the Lemonade star is responsible for the break this year, but no real reason has been provided. However, she is scheduled to perform at the Grammys on February 4, shortly after attending Clive Davis’ Grammy party. An insider confirmed that Beyoncé and Jay Z will be guests at the party held on February 3.
