Trey Songz’s sexual assault lawsuit is now a thing of the past. The singer curried the judge’s favor after the prosecutor failed to respond to Trey’s motion. In an attempt not to waste the court’s time, the verdict was to dismiss the entire case.

Details of the Sexual Assault Lawsuit Against Trey Songz

Back in 2022, a woman who chose to remain anonymous brought to light a sexual assault case between her and Trey. She had claimed that in 2013, she met up with him at the Foxwoods Liquid Sundays with Trey Songz. While they were enjoying the event, Trey invaded her privacy by reaching for her breasts inside a bathing suit top. According to the woman, he pulled it out. However, in response, Trey and his reps have refused to accept what they termed lies.

Despite the years that have rolled by, Jane Doe decided that it was time to sue in July 2023. But first, she put forth a demand letter. Trey, who has since maintained his innocence, looked the other way, and this led her to proceed with a lawsuit.

The anonymous prosecutor later decided to take another route by seeking an out-of-court settlement. However, Trey snubbed her request for about $5 million.

So far, Jane Doe has amended her lawsuit two times; however, both claims in the documents were similar. Before the second attempt, which the court granted, the accused filed a motion to dismiss, citing the statute of limitations. Even with a third chance to make things clearer and acceptable by the judge, Jane Doe has failed to meet up.

Trey, who filed a motion to counter her earlier claims, has had his day in court, as the judge might have grown impatient. TMZ says Jane Doe’s case has been dismissed altogether. Until she decides to reopen it again.
