Kelly Clarkson was more than willing to share what made her weight loss possible. While interviewing a guest, she dove into her health diagnosis, saying it was a wake-up call.
Kelly Clarkson’s Weight Loss After Pre-Diabetic Diagnosis
Kevin James’ appearance on the show made Clarkson’s audience privy to one major detail about her. Following a compliment to Kelly Clarkson, she immediately explained that her recipe for looking great was from a medical diagnosis. In her words:
“Well, I was told I was pre-diabetic. That was literally what happened.”
Despite being informed earlier, she waited until two years later before taking control of her weight loss journey.
Now in the new look phase, she feels free and happy to share. While speaking to People, the “Piece By Piece” singer credited her doctors and healthy eating patterns. She shared:
“I eat a healthy mix. I dropped weight because I’ve been listening to my doctor — a couple of years I didn’t. And 90 percent of the time I’m really good at it because a protein diet is good for me anyway. I’m a Texas girl, so I like meat — sorry, vegetarians in the world!”
On top of her diet plan, the show host takes her environment seriously, and despite the recent move to NYC, she loves to take walks. The singer, who has two kids to look after and a failed marriage in the books, tries to live life for herself. She has always been one to rebuild and make lemonade out of life’s lemons. Back in 2011, The Kelly Clarkson Show host shared her life’s formula. Per ETOnline, she quipped:
“Focus on what makes you happy and that’s gonna come in different forms.”
