Kourtney Kardashian recently opened up about what goes on in her head whenever she sees Tristan Thompson following his cheating ordeal. Thompson was Khloe’s off-and-on boyfriend before their romance hit the rocks. However, together, they have fashioned a routine to co-parent their two kids, True and Tatum.
Kourtney Kardashian’s Word On Seeing Tristan Thompson
Kourtney Kardashian is not new to estranged romance. For years, she put up with Scott, the father of her growing kids. Thankfully, she is now in a loving affair with Travis Baker, yet she has her reservations about men who cheat.
Even though she cannot do anything about Thompson’s affiliation with the family, including her niece and nephew, she feels triggered seeing him. Somehow, her eldest daughter, Penelope, shares similar sentiments.
On the family reality show, she shared:
“I told her the first day of school, I was so triggered by him. I know why, but I feel like we all brush it off and are fine, and then I was just so triggered and I was like, ‘I just can’t do it anymore.'”
She admitted that the trigger gets so bad that she hates being around him, but it does not happen all the time. Her sister, Kim, has refused to look at Thompson’s past. She appreciates his help for the family and believes people can grow. Meanwhile, Page Six reports that Khloe is standing by her family.
“I want Penelope to have these feelings and I don’t wanna talk her out of them because I don’t want this behavior to be something that I’m validating or I’m justifying. I want her to know that how she feeling is the right way to feel. We should not accept someone treating us like this,” she said.
Tristan Thompson’s Cheating Scandals
Tristan Thompson and Khloe Kardashian were like Bonnie and Clyde during their romance era and before his cheating escapades. The NBA star not only swept the author off her feet, but they planned their family together. But when it was time to experience parenthood as a team, he allegedly cheated on Khloe.
Thompson’s scandal produced a love child with an Instagram model, yet Khloe let it slide. While fans believed true love prevailed, the following year, the basketball star was webbed in another infidelity episode. This time, it was too close to home — he was spotted kissing Jordyn Woods, a Kardashian-Jenner family friend.
In 2021, Tristan Thompson was caught in another affair with Sydney Chase, a model. While plenty of water has been allowed to pass under the bridge, Khloe has refused to fall back in love with the father of her two kids.
Instead, through indecision and hiccups here and there, the former couple have decided that healthily co-parenting their kids is best. But this would mean that Thompson will be around the entire family often.
