Fans have been left wondering what could be up with Lil Uzi Vert following their sudden disappearance on social media. The rapper has left many concerned after deactivating their Twitter and Instagram accounts without prior notice.

Lil Uzi Vert Goes Off Social Media

The rapper, who prefers to be addressed with they/them pronouns, deactivated their social media accounts on February 9. Since they have not provided any further comments on the action, it is uncertain how long this hiatus will last. Eagle-eyed fans are unsure if it is a permanent move or temporary.

Meanwhile, about 24 hours before the rapper’s social media absence, they were hailed for their prowess on Spotify. According to Will Page, the Chief Economist of the music streaming giant:

“Lil Uzi Vert – in the first month under analysis, we saw that five percent of their fans were superfans and generated 50 percent of their revenue… what did they achieve in month two? Seven percent of those superfans generating 70 percent of their revenue. I’m not exaggerating. It’s perhaps the first real mathematical description of fandom we’ve ever had.”

There seem to be many changes happening for Lil Uzi Vert recently. Prior to the rapper’s social media disappearance, they talked about wanting to remove the numerous tattoos on their body. While speaking with Ryan Leuteritz for L.A. Weekly, they mentioned that the tattoo removal was because they wanted to pursue a more corporate image.

In their own words, as reported by HipHopDX:

“My favorite tattoo [is] none of them,” they said. “I’m trying to get them removed. All of them. I wanna go corporate.”

For Lil Uzi Vert, their journey with body ink began in 2017 when their mother kicked them out after losing a job at Bottom Dollar Food. Since then, they have continued to accumulate various shapes and designs on their skin to honor their love for tattoos.
