An Ohio father has been arrested after fatally shooting his three sons in an execution-style killing, prosecutors said per Fox News

Chad Doerman, 32, was detained after murdering his three sons, 3,4, and 7, and wounding the boys’ mother at their home. On Thursday just before 4:30 p.m., Clermont County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about a shooting at a home in Monroe Township. The mother was reportedly one of the callers and was heard on the line screaming that

“her babies had been shot.”

The other 911 call was made by a passing motorist who said she had seen a girl running down the street saying her father was killing people, reports state.

According to authorities, Doerman lined the boys up in the yard before executing them with a rifle. Clermont County’s chief prosecutor of Municipal Court, David Gast, said during Doerman’s arraignment Friday that,

“one of the boys attempted to flee into a nearby field but Doerman ‘hunted’ his son down and brought him back to their home before killing him.”

Deputies discovered the three boys outside of the home with gunshot wounds and attempted to revive them, but the children died at the scene.

The mother, 34, whose identity has not been disclosed, was outside the home and had suffered a gunshot to the hand. She was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Doerman was reportedly sitting on a stoop at the home when police arrived and was arrested without incident. He was arraigned on three counts of aggravated murder, prosecutors revealed in court, Friday. It is unclear what the motive was behind the shootings.
