Reports by WarnerBros, After a heated bidding war, Warner Bros secured the rights to the latest collaboration from writer-director-producer Ryan Coogler. The studio head of motion pictures, Michael De Luca, confirmed the news of the deal based on an original script by Coogler.

Details of the plot are being kept under wraps, but it has been described as an original film genre. The pair have a rich and storied history together, with critically acclaimed movies and commercial blockbusters. Production has been penciled in to start in April. More concrete details will likely be made available as production approaches.

This will be Coogler’s first time behind the camera since 2022’s

“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”.

Both Coogler and Jordan are on a hot streak after Black Panther, Creed, and other successful projects together, making this one highly anticipated.

News of the project had been swirling around Tinseltown for months when it was reported that the duo was teaming up for a project that was described as a period piece based loosely around the 19th and 20th Century American South. Details are sparse; however, it is reported that the movie has the potential to spawn a new franchise in terms of story detailing, and it will include vampires and anime features, offering clues as to what the movie could be like.
