Former NFL player Michael Oher has filed a petition to end the conservatorship that was granted to the Tuohy family in 2009. The Tuohys, who took Oher in and helped him achieve success in football and beyond, have said that they will cooperate with the court’s order to end the conservatorship.

Oher’s petition alleges that the Tuohys misled him into signing the conservatorship papers, and that they have profited from his story without his consent. The Tuohys have denied these allegations, and they say that they are

“heartbroken”

by Oher’s decision to file the petition.

The court will now decide whether to end the conservatorship. If it does, it will be a significant development in the ongoing saga of Michael Oher and the Tuohy family.
