On March 2nd, an Oklahoma lawyer was taken into custody after a sting operation proved his intent to rape a 5-year-old girl and “warm himself up” with child pornography, Fox News reported.

Hidden cameras were placed within a Canadian County home after a confidential informant arranged a meeting with 55-year-old Michael Dwaine Lunday. “Lunday told the CI that he would bring condoms and lubrication to facilitate sexual intercourse,” the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office said. “Lunday agreed to meet the CI at a residence in Mustang in order to finalize the details prior to the purchase of the child for sex.”

Footage from the hidden cameras captured the child predator stating that he preferred younger girls that he “wanted to watch child pornography before the child arrived in order to warm himself up and settle his nerves,” police documents state. During his arrest, a Target receipt showed that Lunday had purchased condoms and lubrication minutes before arriving to the CI’s house.

Lunday has been charged with attempting lewd acts with a child under 12 and soliciting child prostitution. The lawyer is currently being held at the Canadian County Detention Facility, with a bond of a $200,000.
