Without any shame, Oprah Winfrey admitted to using prescribed drugs for weight loss. But after the critics clawed at her, she decided it was time to part ways with Weight Watchers. Nobody knows if it was the criticism or if Oprah felt it was time to go. However, Weight Watchers have assured the public that there is no bad blood.

Oprah Winfrey Unapologetically Spills Weight Loss Drug Secret

In December last year, Oprah, who is turning heads with her trimmed physique, admitted that she had been patronizing Weight loss drugs. The OWN network owner revealed she became forty pounds lighter thanks to her doctor’s prescription. Amid the undiluted truth, Oprah refused to give up the name of the drug.

Expectedly, this admission was followed by a sea of criticism. Many called out Oprah Winfrey and Weight Watchers for not being honest about investing in weight loss pills.

Weight Watchers Give Statement

As the month ended, Weight Watchers said goodbye to a long-running member, Oprah Winfrey. Thankfully, it was a smooth sail as neither party came for the other. In fact, the company declared its support for the black billionaire while establishing that there was no discord between them.
Sima Sistani, who heads Weight Watcher, shared:

“While I and the rest of our directors will certainly miss her in our board meetings following the end of her current term, she remains a strong strategic voice and collaborator with WeightWatchers.”

According to TMZ, rumor had it that Oprah was going to benefit if she had advocated for the use of weight loss pills after the admission. But the media mogul proved otherwise as she not only stepped away but intended to fund a project. Sources say her 1.4% stake in the company will go to the National Museum of African American History and Culture.
