Before renewing their vows, Ozzy Osbourne nearly drove his wife, Sharon, to her death by a drug overdose. Though she was sober at the time, the talk show co-host wanted to escape an unhappy reality. Her husband had plagued their marriage by bedding different women from around the world. Despite going through tough times, Sharon maintained that love has stayed winning.

Ozzy Osbourne’s Infidelity Responsible for Sharon’s Overdose

Sharon, who has been married to Ozzy Osbourne since 1982, became familiar with his flirtatious game a long time ago. While she accepted that the rock and roll star would always have women flocking around him, the onscreen star never wanted him in an invested affair. But it so happened that one Michelle Pugh remained in his hair between 2012 and 2016. Ozzy and Pugh, a hairdresser, were in an intimate romance that remained a secret for a while.

In a rather vulnerable and honest moment during her Cut The Cr— tour, she shared her response to the situation. In her words:

“I took, I don’t know how many pills. I just thought, ‘My kids are older, they are fine and can take care of themselves.’ So, I took an overdose and locked myself in the bedroom. The maid tried to come in to clean the room and saw me.”

Following her action, Sharon decided that it was time to walk away from Ozzy’s infidelity. So, in 2016, she announced their split on air. The following year, Sharon confessed that there were multiple women spread across several countries. According to The Blast:

“There wasn’t just one woman; there were six of them. Some Russian teenager, then a masseuse in England, our masseuse [in the U.S.], and then our cook.”

After coming to the realization that her husband had been unfaithful, Sharon decided to move past it. The pair reconciled almost as quickly as they separated in the same year. Ozzy proved his commitment by renewing their vows on Mother’s Day.

Ozzy’s infidelity or Sharon Osbourne’s overdose has not been enough to get them off course. The power couple is like two peas in a pod, ever willing to fight for their love. This is a lifestyle Sharon has preached for years, aiming that they are “both oddballs.”

However, she refuses to believe that her relationship is special. Sharon preaches forgiveness and the willingness of two loving hearts to scale past mistakes. There are good and bad parts. If you love them enough, you’ll accept it and realize that you can’t change it,” she admitted.
