New wave alert — Simone Biles is still having fun with Jonathan Owens, and the critics can do nothing about it. For now, the critics are limited to their voiced concerns, but as for Simone, she cares less and would rather enjoy her marriage. The Olympic gold medalist addressed the naysayers with a concise but critical message recently on X.

Jonathan Owen’s Relationship Announcement Puts Him On The Grill

Just recently, Simone and Jonathan, who wedded in April, honored a podcast invite from Ryan Clark of The Pivot Podcast. As expected, the host asked them about their romance, and the “how did you meet” tale got Jonathan in trouble. Many fans were expecting a more eye-catching story, but the Green Bay Packers player spoke the truth.

As per ET Online, Simone notified the NFL star of her interest in a friendship, and he barely knew her. In his defense, he clarified:

“I promise you, when she won the Olympics, I was in college. We didn’t have NBC, we didn’t have Olympic channels, and we’re in camp, late July, early August. So I’m not paying attention. I never would’ve had a moment to watch.”

Following the story, Ryan asked if he felt like the catch. Without hesitation, Jonathan agreed, adding that “ men are the catch.” According to his story, Simone did a little chasing, which also influenced him to commit.

In his words:

“She did, though! Because I was fighting it. I was afraid to commit… but, you know, it happens when you least expect it.”

Jonathan’s reveal got Simone blushing, but her online soldiers went to war on her behalf. Many criticized the exposure, adding that her husband sounded proud, which was a red flag. Some even added that she deserved a better partner who would appreciate her.

Simone Refuses To Cave In After Jonathan Owen’s Truth

It seems to be an acceptable truth for Simone and Jonathan as they did not bother to fuel the naysayers’ anger. Following the backlash, Jonathan brazenly told the world that he was unbothered. He uploaded photos of their second wedding ceremony in May in Cabo San Lucas. The first time they said their “I dos” was in April in a private ceremony at city hall.

Simone topped it up with a post on X. The gymnast shared a meme of a confused-looking baby and quipped, “Are y’all done yet?”
