  • Alabama Police Officer Indicted After Fatally Shooting Pregnant Girlfriend And Saying She Committed Suicide

Alabama Police Officer Indicted After Fatally Shooting Pregnant Girlfriend And Saying She Committed Suicide

An Alabama police officer is now facing murder charges after fatally shooting his pregnant girlfriend in the head, and telling dispatchers that she had committed suicide, the New York Post reported.

In January of 2022, Huntsville police officer David McCoy began arguing with his girlfriend and mom-to-be Courtney Spraggins while sitting in her car outside his apartment. According to text messages found on the 29-year-old’s phone, Spraggins wanted to move in with McCoy so that the couple could raise their baby together, but McCoy was already in a relationship with another woman who was living with him. Weeks prior to the shooting, he allegedly told the victim he “needed more time.” When Spraggins asked McCoy what she should do in the meantime, the suspect responded coldly, “A bullet to the head sounds good to me.”

On January 7th, McCoy called the non-emergency police number to see if there were any reports of gunshots fired. He then reported that he had woken up to the sound of a shot from a small-caliber gun. Minutes after, officers arrived to the scene and discovered Spraggins dead from a gunshot wound in the driver’s seat of her vehicle. When investigators question McCoy, he told them “I think I’ve seen her once” and that it seemed like she had committed suicide.

After a photo of him was found inside Spraggins’ vehicle, McCoy’s apartment was searched, and he was brought in for further questioning. Inside, police discovered Spraggins’ phone with the text messages that indicated what led to the incident, and the murder weapon. McCoy also tested positive for gunshot residue.

On March 24th, McCoy was indicted on capital murder charges. The former police officer is now facing multiple charges, including killing a person inside a car, killing a person and her unborn child, and killing a person under 14 (the unborn child). He is scheduled to appear in court on April 4th.

Colorado Man Attacks Girlfriend With Knives Then Is Hit And Killed By Truck While Running From Police

A Colorado man accused of assaulting his partner was hit and killed by a commercial truck while attempting to flee police, Fox 31 reported.

Early Wednesday morning, shortly after midnight, officers from the Greeley Police Department were sent to an apartment complex after receiving reports about a man punching and kicking a woman. After the accused 31-year-old grabbed multiple knives and continued to assault the woman further, the suspect fled the scene in his vehicle before police had arrived.

As the woman was taken to a nearby hospital, officers spotted her attacker returning, and attempted to pull him over. The suspect then pulled into a dead end, exited his vehicle, and began to flee on foot. With police chasing after him, the man climbed a fence, and began crossing a busy highway. Before reaching the other side, he was hit by a large commercial truck.

Though his identity has not be released, officials say that the suspect was pronounced dead at the scene. According to a statement released by Greeley Police Department, an investigation is still ongoing, but drugs, alcohol, or speed do not appear to be contributing factors to the deadly crash. Fortunately, the victim, who remains in the hospital, is expected to recover.

  • Houston Man Given $2 Million Bond After Killing His Daughter While Her Mother Watched On FaceTime

Houston Man Given $2 Million Bond After Killing His Daughter While Her Mother Watched On FaceTime

A Texas man is now in police custody after brutishly taking the life of his daughter as he FaceTimed his ex, who is also the child’s mother, ABC 13 reported.

On Monday, 25-year-old Deontray Flanagan reportedly picked up two-year-old Zevaya from daycare before heading to a Houston Walmart, where the child’s mother works. There, Flanagan began hitting Kairsten Watson, demanding she give him her phone and the passcode to it, or their daughter would be harmed. After she complied, he took Zevaya and left.

As Flanagan was being chased down by police, he FaceTimed Watson, showing the aftermath of their toddler being severely beaten. “Her face was just covered in blood,” the grieving mother recalled. “He hit her with something really hard, and then he called me on FaceTime and he showed me. He choked her on FaceTime. I said, ‘Tray, stop. That is your daughter! Stop! She loves you.’ His exact words were, ‘You only love that man- you did this to her.’”

While the two were FaceTiming, Flanagan was in a high speed chase. The suspect hit multiple other cars and drove the wrong way up multiple Houston roads, as deputies from Harris County Sheriff’s Office followed him for more than 30 miles. He eventually came to a stop and a standoff ensued.

“I am telling the officers, “Look at this FaceTime! Move in,” Watson said. “They sat there, and said they have to get everyone ready, and they have to put on their shields and all this extra stuff like he wasn’t killing her on this FaceTime call.”

After Flanagan was finally taken into police custody, little Zevaya was found nearly lifeless. She was then airlifted to a nearby hospital to be treated for her injuries, but was unfortunately pronounced dead shortly after.

Prior to his attack, Watson called police about threatening phone calls and text messages she received from Flanagan. Last week alone, she notified authorities twice, but the Harris County District Attorney’s office concluded that there wasn’t enough evidence to pursue a criminal charge.

“I told them over and over and over that something was going to be wrong,” Watson explained. “I said, ‘Are y’all going to wait until something happens to her?’”

Flanagan has been charged with first-degree murder, and although he was originally being held on a $2 million bond. Depending on the outcome of the autopsy report, he could be facing a capital murder charge.

  • Serial Killer Super Fan “Giggled” After Fatally Stabbing Boyfriend

Serial Killer Super Fan “Giggled” After Fatally Stabbing Boyfriend

In July of 2022, a 27-year-old woman in Havant, Hampshire slit the throat of her boyfriend before plunging the blade into his chest 17 times, The Telegraph reports.

In her bedroom, which was decorated with framed photos of serial killers and weapons, Shaye Groves and Frankie Fitzgerald would have sex as they filmed. Both interested in BDSM, they would regularly videotape their sexual counters to imitate rape, despite it being consensual. Groves would later use the footage to claim self defense, but unedited versions refuted her claims.

On the day of Fitzgerald’s death, Groves discovered that her boyfriend had been messaging who she mistakenly thought was a 13-year-old girl on social media. Though the individual had actually been 17, Groves acted out of jealousy and attacked Fitzgerald as he slept. Afterwards, she called a friend via video chat and “giggled” as she revealed the victim’s body.

According to prosecutor Steven Perian, Groves used knowledge obtained from watching crime documentaries to portray herself as a victim of sexual violence. He says that “the defendant, by reading about and watching murder documentaries, she was familiar with crime scenes, how to create a false narrative, and how to set up a false alibi.”

Despite her efforts, Groves was found guilty to murder following a trial. The 27-year-old has been sentenced to 23 years in prison.

A Tennessee woman was taken into custody after teachers reported reading their kindergartners story that detailed her parents getting into a domestic violence altercation that ended in gunshots, NY Post reported.

Shelby County Sheriff’s Office arrested Kaydra Johnson, 28, on Monday after receiving a call about a domestic violence dispute that ended in gunfire. A school counselor at Donelson Elementary notified Child Protective Services about the disturbing note who then notified authorities.  Johnson allegedly shot at the father of her children inside their home while their four children were present.

In the story, the child writes,

“Mother and father got into a fight. Mom told him to get out because he was smoking too much. Father hit mother in the eye. Mother said look what you’ve done… Mother got the gun from under the bed. I was in the living room, and my sisters and brother were in the room. Mother pulled the gun on father and shot three times. The bullets hit the wall. Mother told him to sleep in his car in the driveway and not to come back or she will shoot him again.”

New York Man Sent Estranged Wife Cryptic Message Before Fatally Their Shooting 14-Year-Old Daughter: “This Is How It sends For Us”

Throughout the month of January, Heather Wood received multiple harassing and threatening text messages from her estranged husband, Christopher Wood. Though she was still legally married to the 51-year-old, they were legally separated and living apart. According to People, Christopher was confronted by police for stalking, but Heather regretfully never pressed charges. Ava, their daughter and a ninth-grader at Durgee Junior High School, went back and forth between her parents’ homes.

On January 20th, Mrs. Wood received a call from Ava’s school informing her that her daughter was reported as absent. She immediately recalled a cryptic text she received from her soon-to-be ex the night before that read, “This is how it ends for us.” Frightened, she called police to perform a welfare check, and Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office sent deputies out to Christopher Wood’s New York home.

Inside the home, police discovered the bodies of Christopher and Ava in their rooms, each with fatal gunshot wounds. The murder weapon, a shotgun that was purchased 16 days before the murder-suicide, was found next to Christopher.

Ava, who was an honor student and soccer player, was known for her “competitive spirit and a love for life” as well as “for the strong relationships she had with family and friends,” her obituary reads. In order to support her mother during the tragic loss of her beloved daughter, a GoFundMe that raised over $50,000 was created to pay for the funeral expenses.

“She was kind, gentle, and had the most loving spirit, the fundraiser stated. “She loved her teammates and her friends and shared many memories on and off the field with them. She was deeply adored by her momma, and her family and she instantly stole the hearts of all those around her.”
