    Houston Woman’s Apartment Ransacked By Intruder Who Switched Out Of His Underwear and Wore Hers

    A Houston woman’s apartment was completely destroyed by an unexpected and unusual intruder, per the NY Post. The intruder broke into the apartment and took the liberty of changing into the woman’s underwear and top before wrecking the residence. 

    Allana Mitchell, a chef by profession, left her downtown Houston apartment on October 14th at 7 p.m. for a catering job and some leisurely drinks with friends. However, upon her return home later that night, she was shocked to find herself locked out of her unit.

    “It was like it was locked from the inside. I went around the building and saw my lights were on,”

    Mitchell told Fox 26.

    “I never do that. And there was even stuff thrown off of my balcony.”

    Allana was stranded outside her apartment for 24 hours despite contacting the Houston police and building management. Upon regaining access, she found her once tidy home in disarray, with belongings, food, appliances, and clothing recklessly tossed around.

    “There was food all over the floor, everything was a mess,”

    Mitchell said.

    “The water was running. I lost everything.”

    Mitchell revealed that the trespasser left their clothes and underwear, while also fleeing with a pair of her underwear and a t-shirt she had worn to sleep the night before.

    “He had on my underwear and a t-shirt I slept in the night before. His underwear was on the floor along with his hospital shirt.”

    Mitchell was told by maintenance staff that none of the building’s security cameras

    “are currently operational,”

    reports state. Luckily neighbors ring cameras were able to capture footage of the suspect.

    A homeless man in San Francisco has sparked outrage in his community after placing two signs outside his tent home that read,

    “Free fentanyl 4 new users,”

    and

    “Meth for stolen items,”

    reports FOX News. 

    The man’s name is Joseph Adam Moore and according to the Chronicle, he

    “identified himself as a registered sex offender.”

    Reports reveal that

    “court records from Santa Cruz County show he was convicted of unlawful sex with a minor in 1997 — and declined to say whether he carries illicit drugs.”

    Moore has reportedly faced five arrests since 2007 due to his failure to notify authorities about his address.

    He asked reporters,

    “It’s happening, right? Why can’t I do it?”

    referring to the illicit drugs.

    “Is this sacred ground?”

    Nathaniel Weiner, a parent in the neighborhood, said Moore’s tent attracted

    “up to a half dozen people who ‘made the curb their home.’”

    He said,

    “People brought barbecues, a beach umbrella, and even a dune buggy that sat on the pavement,”

    Weiner claims. He said the drug users would

    “[create] a Burning Man-style party ‘in [the] quiet residential neighborhood where people are just trying to live their lives.’”

    According to the Chronicle, Moore has been getting into frequent arguments with police lately. However, the police in San Francisco couldn’t find any reports of incidents at Moore’s campsite, and there haven’t been any records of Moore getting arrested in the past three months, as per a spokesperson. 

    He remains at his post, which is reportedly located near, Stella Maris Academy, a San Francisco Catholic school, and a public library.

    Man Allegedly Abducts 11-Year-Old Girl After Communicating With Her On Online Gaming Forum, Roblox

    A man from Delaware has been arrested and charged with kidnapping an 11-year-old girl whom he met and talked to on various online gaming forums, including the popular platform Roblox, according to authorities per Huff Post. 

    Darius Matylewich, 27, faces kidnapping and child endangerment charges for persuading an 11-year-old girl from Wayne, New Jersey, to leave her home.

    The child was reported missing on September 10th, and was located in Bear, Delaware, about 140 miles away on the same day.

    Local police apprehended Matylewich, extraditing him to New Jersey, where he’s currently in custody. Investigators found that he met the girl while playing video games online. 

    A Roblox spokesperson clarified in an email to Huff Post that the suspect and the 11-year-old did not meet on their platform.

    “Based on our internal investigation, the suspect and the victim did not meet on Roblox… We have not been contacted by law enforcement but we take the safety of our users, particularly our youngest users, incredibly seriously. We have reached out to law enforcement and are offering our help,”

    they explained. 

    Matylewich faces up to 30 years in state prison if convicted.

    Roblox, launched in 2006 and now stands as one of the largest metaverse platforms. The company hosts millions of users and enforces strict regulations to maintain a safe environment.

    according to reports.

    “Users can also mute or block players that they come across in games and report inappropriate content or behavior using our Report Abuse system,”

    the spokesperson said.

    Squatters Arrested After Hosting ‘Illegal Strip Club’ Out Of Atlanta Home, Neighbors Say They Even Had ‘Lives Horses’ From Time To Time

    Four men have been arrested in Atlanta after allegedly squatting in a home and operating a strip club from the residence, according to RadarOnline.com. 

    Local residents had complained about the disruptive behavior of the individuals, who were said to be partying at all hours and running

    “an illegal strip club on the weekends,”

    one neighbor told the local outlet. 

    The neighbors also reported piles of trash, street racing, and even live horses outside the property.

    “They would get live horses,”

    one neighbor explained to WSB-TV. 

    Despite previous complaints to the police, action was finally taken on October 15 when a SWAT team raided the home. The police discovered stolen cars, a stolen gun, and stolen IDs and credit cards on the premises, reports note. The four squatters, identified as DeAnthony Maddox, Jeremy Wheat, Kelvin Hall, and Tarahsjay Forde, have been arrested and are facing multiple charges, including theft by receiving stolen property. 

    Police are now monitoring the property to prevent further occupancies.

    Body Of Man Found At Abandoned N.C. Home Initially Mistaken For A ‘Halloween Decoration,’ Police Say

    A groundskeeper initially mistook the lifeless body of a man, found at an abandoned log cabin, for a mannequin according to a report by PEOPLE. 

    The victim, identified as Robert Owens, 34, was discovered deceased at a residence in China Grove, North Carolina, on Tuesday, October 10. During the investigation, police learned that a groundskeeper had actually seen the body the day before but

    “believed the body to be a fake dummy used for training by numerous law agencies on the property over the last few years and did not report it,”

    said the police in their statement. 

    It was only when another worker on the property notified the police that they were made aware of the situation. An autopsy was conducted in Raleigh, which revealed no signs of assault or trauma to the body. Authorities are now awaiting the results of a toxicology report to determine the cause of Owens’ death. 

    According to Fox affiliate WJZY-TV, Owens was found lying face down in the grass with minimal clothing. Haley Shue, Owens’ sister, said she doesn’t understand how

    “you… Mow right beside someone and assume that they’re Halloween decorations at a house no one lives at.”

    The family of Owens has since expressed doubts and raised suspicions about the circumstances surrounding his death. Shue told WJZY that a construction worker on the property informed the family that Owens

    “had cuts and scrapes on his arms like defensive wounds, his words.” 

    As aforementioned, authorities conducting the investigation have stated that there was no evidence of foul play has been discovered.

    “It has to be,”

    Shue told WCCB.

    “He didn’t end up here in his socks and underwear face down.”

    Man Wrongly Incarcerated For 16 Years, Tragically Killed During Traffic Stop

    An innocent man who had spent 16 years in prison in Florida before being exonerated in 2020 was tragically killed by a sheriff’s deputy in Georgia during a traffic stop, officials said per NBC News. 

    Leonard Cure, 53, had been wrongly convicted of armed robbery in Florida in 2003. He was released after new evidence proved his innocence, reports the NY Times.

    Since his release, Cure had been rebuilding his life, working in security, pursuing educational opportunities, and was on the way to purchasing his first home. However, this Monday Cure was shot by a deputy during a traffic stop on Interstate 95. 

    According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), the Camden County deputy, whose name was not released, initiated the stop due to Cure’s speeding. Cure was reportedly going 90 mph in a 70-speed limit zone. 

    Cure initially complied with the deputy’s commands but resisted arrest when he learned he was being detained. Cure

    “assaulted the deputy,”

    leading the deputy to use a Taser for a second time and baton, but

    “Cure still did not comply,”

    authorities said. 

    The deputy drew his firearm and shot Cure. He was provided medical attention by EMS but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries, according to the GBI.

    A Missouri woman is locked in a battle to prove her existence after being mistakenly declared dead over 15 years ago, reports PEOPLE. Madeline-Michelle Carthen’s life took a turn when she was denied financial aid for college due to her Social Security number indicating her death.

    The issue initially arose in November 2006, but Carthen only became aware when her university informed her four months later. CNN stepped in to assist after her story gained media attention in 2007, leading Carthen to discover that her records were stored in a

    “deceased warehouse”

    at the Social Security Administration in Washington, D.C. She had been added to the Death Master File, a database that catalogs the records of deceased individuals with Social Security numbers. 

    This classification resulted in the cancellation of her existence according to the IRS, banks, and Medicare. Investigations suggest that around 12,000 Americans are wrongfully declared dead by the government annually. While the SSA has reached out to Carthen to assist with her case, she has received six inaccurate death letters in the 16 years since the mistake occurred.

    Despite reaching out to four U.S. presidents and other government officials, her efforts have been met with limited responses. In 2019, she filed a lawsuit, but it was dismissed on the grounds of sovereign immunity. In 2021, she changed her name and obtained a new Social Security number, but each step forward has been met with setbacks. As a result, Carthen, now 52 years old, has been unable to vote or maintain a steady job for an extended period.

    “I’m in Missouri, but I’m back and forth [between here and Tennessee],”

    she tells PEOPLE.

    “I had to give up my home. I don’t have a place to stay. I can’t get a mortgage… Everything has been stripped from me,”

    she says.

    “I’m blocked.”

    Virginia Corrections Officers Admit To Sleeping On Duty As Inmate Escapes Hospital

    An administrative investigation has revealed that two Virginia Department of Corrections officers, responsible for monitoring Naseem Isaiah Roulack, acknowledged being asleep when he managed to escape from a hospital in August, per FOX News. 

    The investigation disclosed that Roulack’s metal handcuffs and leg restraints were replaced with nylon

    “flex cuffs”

    during his hospital visit for an MRI procedure. However, the assigned COs never switched it back to the secure metal cuffs. 

    Roulack, a 21-year-old inmate serving a 13-year sentence for aggravated malicious wounding, grand larceny, and hit-and-run charges, successfully fled before 6 a.m. on August 12. He has since been connected to a carjacking and kidnapping incident in Maryland, near Washington, D.C. The U.S. Marshals Service has issued a warning that Roulack should be considered

    “armed and dangerous.” 

    To facilitate his capture, both state and federal authorities are offering a combined reward of $20,000. As for the officers involved, the department’s press release states that they have resigned after admitting to being asleep during the incident.

    “I thank the Special Investigations Unit for their thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Roulack’s escape,”

    VADOC Director Chadwick Dotson said in a statement.

    “The Department will learn from these findings to ensure that we are providing the most effective incarceration, which leads to lasting public safety for the Commonwealth.”

    Black Texas Student Suspended Over Dreadlocks Transferred To Disciplinary Alternative Education Program

    Darryl George, a Black student from Texas, has been transferred to a disciplinary alternative education program after being suspended from his high school over his dreadlocks, according to PEOPLE. 

    In a letter to Darryl’s family, Principal Lance Murphy stated that the 18-year-old’s removal from Barbers Hill High School was due to infractions such as classroom disruption, failure to comply with staff rules, and violation of the school’s dress and grooming guidelines. 

    Darryl, who had been on in-school suspension since August 31 due to his twisted locs, was suspended again on September 18 for the same hairstyle. 

    His family has filed a federal lawsuit, arguing that his suspension violates Texas’ CROWN Act, which prohibits natural hair discrimination. Allie Booker, Darryl’s family attorney, wrote in the lawsuit that Darryl

    “should be permitted to wear his hair in the manner in which he wears it … because the so-called neutral grooming policy has no close association with learning or safety and when applied, disproportionately impacts Black males.”

    The school district claims that its grooming code allows protective hairstyles but imposes length restrictions on male students’ hair. Barbers Hill High School Principal Lance Murphy wrote in a letter to Darryl’s parents that as principal,

    “I have determined that your child has engaged in chronic or repeated disciplinary infractions that violate the District’s previously communicated standards of student conduct.”

    He added,

    “Your child has had the misconduct explained to him and has been given the opportunity to present his responses to these charges,”

    the letter continued. 

    The family attorney alleges that Darryl’s transfer to the alternative program is an act of retaliation.

    “During the grievance, they asked me to agree to take the case out of federal court. I told them no. All of this was at the grievance…[On Wednesday] they filed a motion to pull it out of the federal court and the judge struck the motion for non-compliance with court rules, so they retaliated by putting Darryl in DAEP,”

    the family attorney claimed.

    Authorities in Tewksbury are seeking the public’s help in identifying an individual caught on surveillance camera dumping a deceased raccoon onto a woman’s car, reports CBS News. 

    The incident occurred on Marshall Street, prompting the woman to contact the police at approximately 4 a.m. on Wednesday. Upon inspection, it appeared that the raccoon had been struck by a vehicle.

    After reviewing the surveillance footage, law enforcement observed an individual approach the car just after midnight. The suspect is seen wearing blue jeans, and a black watch cap with dangling strings. She was captured disposing of the animal onto the vehicle before fleeing the scene. The suspect is at large.
