Simone Biles’ Biological Mother Asks The Olympic Gymnast For Forgiveness After Years Of Separation, ‘Let’s Move Forward’

Shanon Biles, who is the biological mother of Olympic Champion Simone Biles, says she wants to rekindle her relationship with her daughter.

In a recent interview with Daily Mail, Shanon, who is 52, expressed that her relationship with Simone is estranged due to her challenges with drugs. Ultimately this caused all four of her children to go in and out of foster care while growing up.

Simone and her younger sister were eventually adopted by their maternal grandfather and his second wife. Her older siblings were adopted by their grandfather’s sister. Shanon shared how difficult it was for her to step back and let others take care of her kids.

“It was hard to give up my kids, but I had to do what I had to do. I wasn’t able to care for them. I was still using and [my father] didn’t want me coming in and out of their lives when I wasn’t right.”

Shanon has missed important moments in Simone Biles’ life, including her wedding to NFL player Jonathan Owens and her recent wins at the 2024 Paralympic Games. Shanon expressed her deep wish for forgiveness from her daughter, saying,

“I would like to make amends with Simone personally – I’m just waiting for her and [her younger sister] Adria. I speak to Adria more than I speak to Simone. I would just ask her to forgive me. Can we move forward? Don’t judge me on my past. Let’s move forward.”

Shanon says she is currently clean and isn’t

“the person [she] used to be.”

Simone’s biological dad would also like to rebuild a relationship with her, Shanon also revealed in the interview.

According to Us Weekly, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s rocky road to co-parenting included concerns about their male nanny.

During a new episode of The Kardashians, which started streaming on Thursday, October 19, Kim discussed the process of hiring a caretaker for their children.

“I recently hired a male nanny because I really wanted a male around who would be picking them up and taking them to sports,”

    Said Kim Kardashian.

Kim shares daughters North, 10, and Chicago, 5, and sons Saint, 7, and Psalm, 4, with Kanye West.

Kardashian also admitted to being concerned about bringing up the topic, saying,

“I was scared out of my mind to tell their dad that.”

“When he was dropping off the kids, Kanye introduced himself and played soccer with Saint and him. He was so nice to him,”

    Said Kim.

    The reality star continued,

“He said, ‘Hey, if you are going to help raise my son…’ Because the nanny handed Saint the ball really easily, and Kanye said, ‘Don’t do that, make him go get it himself. These are some of the rules I would want.’”

“I was like, ‘Oh my god. OK. That’s great,’”

    The makeup mogul said.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum decided to hire a nanny due to her home being

Kardashian went on to give rare insight into her co-parenting relationship with West, admitting,

“I have my family trips all the time, but each kid gets at least one trip with me a year,” she said. “It also shows my kids the work that I am putting in. There is a whole business behind it, so I like to show them that this is still fun for me. Work could be fun.”

Hulu releases new episodes of The Kardashians every Thursday.

  • Calls To Fire Oklahoma Elementary School Drag Principal Who Once Faced Child Pornography Charges

Calls To Fire Oklahoma Elementary School Drag Principal Who Once Faced Child Pornography Charges

An elementary school in Oklahoma is facing controversy as demands to dismiss its drag queen principal, who previously faced accusations of child pornography, reports the NY Post

According to a report by Fox News, Shane Murnan, known as

    “Shantel Mandalay”

during drag performances, was appointed as the top administrator of John Glenn Elementary School in Oklahoma City in June. The report reveals that Murnan was charged with possession of child pornography over two decades ago, but the case was eventually dismissed due to a lack of evidence indicating that the images involved minors.

The Oklahoman notes that Murnan had been working as a fifth-grade teacher at the time and subsequently resigned before re-entering the profession at a later date.

Shane Walters, the head of public school education in the state, strongly criticized the school district officials for hiring Murnan and demanded immediate termination of their employment.

“I think that the left has absolutely an agenda for our kids, that they are at war with our kids in the classroom,”

said the Sooner State’s head of public school education, Shane Walters.

“What they are doing is injecting this ideology for an end goal here. Their end goal is to absolutely break down a child’s mind, break down the classroom, break down the family, and you see the results that have come from this.”

District Superintendent Brayden Savage expressed his support for Murnan’s preference when it was announced. Fox News revealed that the principal had a separate Facebook account under the name Mandalay, where he presented himself in drag.

According to the Christian Post, Murnan, who is known for taking part in local drag queen story-reading events for children, applied to become a church minister back in 2014.

“If I went to church this is exactly what I would be wearing,”

Murnan said in a comment while sharing a picture of himself wearing an electric blue wig and sticking out his tongue. Despite reaching out for comment, Murnan did not respond to Fox’s request.

  • California School District Faces Lawsuit Over Policy Requiring Parental Notification For Student Gender Identity Or Pronoun Changes

California School District Faces Lawsuit Over Policy Requiring Parental Notification For Student Gender Identity Or Pronoun Changes

California‘s Attorney General, Rob Bonta, has filed a lawsuit against the Chino Valley Unified School District over a controversial policy that requires teachers to notify parents if their child changes their identity or pronouns, reports the Daily Mail

    Bonta claims that this

    “parental notification”

policy is discriminatory and violates civil rights and privacy laws. The lawsuit argues that the policy puts transgender and gender-nonconforming students in

“danger of ‘imminent, irreparable harm,’ by risking they’ll be outed in their household ‘before they’re ready.”

The policy was discussed during a public meeting in July, where more than 80 community members, including students, teachers, parents, mental health professionals, and advocates, voiced their concerns and opposition. They argued that the policy would endanger transgender and gender nonconforming students, with some stating that it would threaten their safety and sense of belonging. Letters written by LGBTQ+ students highlighted the potential consequences of forced disclosure, including abuse, hate crimes, and even murder.

The lawsuit seeks to discontinue the enforcement of the policy. Bonta also believes other Southern California districts with similar policies will be affected by the litigation. Bonta emphasized that the policy infringes on students’ rights.

    “It tramples on students’ rights,”

    he told ABC 7 News.

Under the policy, Chino Valley schools must inform parents in writing within three days if a student requests to be identified or treated as a gender different from what is recorded on official documents. Parents will also be notified if students participate in sex-segregated activities or use bathroom facilities that don’t align with their listed gender. The lawsuit is now in the hands of the San Bernardino County Superior Court, which will determine whether the practice should be immediately banned.

  • Father Accused Of Murdering Girlfriend’s Daughter Now Faces Charges For Killing His Infant Son

Father Accused Of Murdering Girlfriend’s Daughter Now Faces Charges For Killing His Infant Son

Jordan Taylor, a murder defendant from Kentucky, is facing accusations of killing a second child in a separate incident, Law & Crime reported.

The 23-year-old was previously indicted for the murder of 3-year-old Amoura Smallwood, along with the child’s mother Alexandra Ward, who is also facing charges of complicity. Now, a grand jury in Clay County has indicted Taylor for the murder of his 6-month-old son, Ja’Vonn Taylor, according to local news outlet The Manchester Enterprise. The infant tragically passed away on July 17, 2020, while under his father’s care at home.

Commonwealth Attorney Gary Gregory of the 41st Judicial Circuit has expressed the possibility of seeking the death penalty for Jordan Taylor. He stated that all options, including the death penalty, are being considered in this case. The indictment for the 2020 murder was issued by the Clay County grand jury on August 3, with a formal arraignment scheduled for August 28, as reported by The Lexington Herald Leader.

Regarding the Whitley County case, prosecutors argued that Ward had a legal obligation to prevent Jordan Taylor from strangling Amoura on February 17, 2023, and subsequently murdering her two days later. Taylor claimed to be the sole supervisor of Amoura until the arrival of the ambulance, but the lead detective found inconsistencies between his statement and the child’s injuries. Authorities discovered injuries all over the child’s body, from head to feet.

In the case of Amoura’s death, Taylor faces charges of murder, strangulation, and sodomy. Ward, as the child’s mother, is also held accountable for failing to protect her daughter, as it is both a moral and legal obligation for parents to ensure their children’s safety.
