Years after they parted ways, Cassie slammed her ex with a sexual assault lawsuit. Just as the New York law for sexual victims was about to expire, she levied various charges on the rapper.

The singer explained that Diddy, who is over ten years her senior, assaulted her sexually and was physically abusive. On top of it, he made her sleep with male prostitutes during their romance.

But Diddy’s legal team called her accusations baseless, adding that she was a fraud who demanded money from him. Hours after filing the lawsuit, Cassie and Diddy settled out of court.

Rolling Stone states that Red, a renowned songwriter and BFF to Cassie, claimed that her personal experience with Diddy left her frightened. She explained the chain of events that showed how violent the rapper is.

In an open letter, Red said that her first time with Diddy was in 2015, when they met at Cassie’s birthday bash. The rapper had hosted the celebration in Los Angeles. However, during the party, he charged at her relentlessly. According to the letter, Diddy and his team tried to warn her to stay clear of Cassie because of the songs they had done together. He believed the singer was expressing her hurt in their relationship with a third party.

Eventually, Red noticed how violent Diddy acted around Cassie because he was upset that she had left his corner. The songwriter chronicled the events of the following hours, which were marred with yelling and name-calling from Diddy.

She added that Cassie was consistently high on drugs whenever she was with Diddy. He even enjoyed a “freak out” episode with male prostitutes making love to his ex-lover.
