In a viral video that left viewers shocked, a woman traveler made a reckless decision to sprint onto the airport tarmac in a misguided attempt to stop a plane from leaving without her, reports the New York Post.
Simon Hales, a bystander wrote on Facebook,
“A lady who had missed her flight clearly thought she could still catch it,”
reports 9News.
Hales added that the woman had to sprint past security and
“down onto the tarmac”
in an effort to catch the flight headed to Adelaide.
The video captured a baffling scene where an unidentified woman can be seen trying to flag down the pilot on the runway. Spectators were shocked by what they witnessed, as one person revealed,
“She’s trying to yell at the pilot, she’s trying to get his attention and jump up, it was bizarre.”
Luckily, the pilot turned off the engine. Reports say the Australian Federal Police (AFP) arrested the woman. Due to the woman’s behavior, all flights were delayed for 10 minutes.
