Kaley Renae Medina, 26, is accused of showing up unannounced at the residence of a 61-year-old man, commonly referred to as a

“sugar daddy,”

in the middle of the night. Authorities claim that she requested $2,000 from him and, when he refused, she allegedly used detergent to blind him, per Law and Crime

These details were revealed by Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar, who stated that the pair had initially connected on the website SeekingArrangement.com.

“What it appears to be is one of these — for lack of a better term — ‘sugar daddy’ type sites where people with money meet up with younger people that need money and make some sort of an arrangement to date or what have you,”

he said.

The man had gone out on a date with Medina earlier this month but had no intentions of seeing her again. However, Tuesday at around 2:30 a.m. Medina showed up at his doorstep and he proceeded to let her in.

According to documents, they engaged in conversation and shared a drink, but things took a turn when Medina asked for $2,000. When the man refused, Medina allegedly became enraged and proceeded to destroy various items in his home, including a mounted flat-screen TV, an entertainment center, and a painting. She then poured laundry detergent on his head, causing burns and temporary blindness.

Medina also stole several items, such as his passport, iPhone, surveillance camera, and a Dyson hair dryer. The man managed to crawl out of his house, seeking assistance while suffering from cuts on his legs and chemical burns to his eyes.

Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar mentioned that Medina had a previous criminal history, including a DWI charge. Medina was charged with robbery and is being held on a $20,000 bond, according to online records.
