A woman from Alabama made a 911 call to report a fake burglary at her home out of fear of

“bad weather,”

according to the police per The Post

The incident occurred on January 9 in Dothan, where Kelley Giniebra, 39, contacted the emergency dispatch center. However, upon investigation, the Dothan Police Department discovered that there was no actual break-in at her residence on Johnson Circle.

“Ginibera had reported that in order to get officers to respond to her residence quicker due to her being scared of the bad weather,”

police said. On the day of the incident, Dothan, a city of 71,000 located approximately 100 miles southwest of Montgomery, experienced

“heavy intensity rain,”

as reported by world-weather.info.Dothan received a total of 2 inches of rain from the storm that swept through the area. 

Ginibera was arrested and charged with one misdemeanor count of making a false report to law enforcement.
