Young Thug, who has been charged for his involvement with the YSL gang, is only a few weeks away from trial. The rapper, who has spent months behind bars and the entire year under the eagle eyes of the law, will have his fate decided beginning this month. Following the standard American procedure, a juror has been selected after nearly a year.

The Beginning Of Young Thug’s End

The entire controversy has put a dark cloud over the rapper’s career. It is no surprise that the rap god has kept his head high, denying his recent charges and even releasing an album from behind bars. But what is there to know about the YSL trial?

Young Thug, a severely decorated artist, has had run-ins with the law in Atlanta. He had been charged with gun and drug possession crimes, but since this year, it has become heated.

In May, he was arrested for gang-related crimes. The rapper was not alone, as the cops picked up 28 other suspects. Young Thug has been accused of perpetrating violent acts under the YSL ( aka Young Slime Life) gang, including killing. Additionally, he will have to exonerate himself over the other six charges, including possession of hard drugs, a firearm, and a machine gun.

More than twenty of those locked up with Young Thug are out, but his insistence on his innocence will make him face trial alongside six others.

Young Thug’s YSL Trial and Jury

Fox 5 Atlanta reports that Ural Glanville, Fulton County’s Superior Court Chief Judge, will preside over the case. It took months to proceed with the case and eventually get a jury for the YSL trial.

From fifty jurors, the list has now been narrowed down to twelve and six alternatives. The listing includes ten black females, two white females, three black males, and three white males.

They have all reached an understanding following the swearing-in procedure and will come back when the trial begins. Young Thug’s hearing date is now secluded for November 8, 2023, after it was moved from post-Thanksgiving.
