Ari Lennox just concluded her Trek with Rod Wave tour, which was not what she expected. The rapper gets candid with fans over an Instagram live video, detailing why she called it her “worst tour.”

Ari Lennox Dives Into Experience On Rod Wave’s Tour

Ari Lennox took to Instagram to address the issues faced during her performance on Rod Wave’s tour. While pouring out her heart to her millions of fans, a visible pain was written over her face. The Rod Wave Nostalgia tour left her nothing but a wave of shock, including disrespect and assault from fans. The rapper also witnessed theft while on the road.

Ari explained that the entire ordeal during the tour reeked of fans who didn’t appreciate her musical presence. Apart from not feeling her onstage energy being replicated, she feared what fans might do to her.

In her words:

“Every night when I got onstage, I was fighting for my life. I just remember every show, I was racing to get offstage, racing to get through my set […] You’re getting angry at me affirming you? This is not my crowd and it will never be.”

Ari’s fear for her life was not an overreaction. Back in November, she was hit with a water bottle while performing Pressure on stage. According to VIBE, someone in the audience threw the item at her. Amid the surprise, the Dreamville singer let out her rage and nearly got into a fight.

Fortunately, her security team took control of the situation before it got out of hand. Ari Lennox refused to comment on the bottle issue during Rod Wave’s tour until her recent Instagram live video.

Despite the tears and burns, the singer was thankful she had fellow rapper Toosii in her corner. She affirmed that he was everything she needed during the tour.

“When I tell you I have so much respect for that man. A real angel,” she quipped.
