Texas Man Responsible For Deporting Thousands Of People Discovers He’s Undocumented

A man living in San Benito, Texas learned that he was an undocumented immigrant after being responsible for the deportation of thousands of people, CNN reported.

At the age of 49, Raul Rodriguez had been working for the US government at the border for almost two decades. As an employee for the US Customs and Border Protection, Rodriguez says he helped deport thousands of undocumented immigrants. After dedicating his life to CBP and building relationships with local law enforcement, he eventually found himself on the other end of the spectrum.

In April of 2018, while filing a visa application for his brother, it was discovered that Rodriguez had been living in the United States illegally for the majority of his life. Originally born in Mexico, the birth certificate he had been using was fraudulent. Once confronted, Rodriguez’ father confessed that they were never US citizens.

After the discovery Rodriguez’ entire life began to change. First, he lost his job. Then, his sense of identity.

“Anything that I ever did revolved around law enforcement. I lost everything. . . That’s who I thought I was. That was my identity,” he explained. “They take that idea from you, you’re back at square one.”

Even the friends he made in law enforcement, as well as those he served with in the US Navy, turned their backs on him. When spotted in public, people he knew for years refused to acknowledge him. “They abandoned me because they thought I was illegal,” he says.

Nearly five years later, and Rodriguez continues to fight to stay within the country. If deported, he’d leave behind a wife and his 4 children.

“All I was asking was, just treat me like everyone else. I served this country so many years. I think I deserve something- at least the chance to stay in it,” he says.

Florida High School Coach Arrested For Filming Students Engaging In Sex Acts, Told Girl He Likes Minors

A Florida high school sports coach and part-time security monitor has been arrested after filming two teens engaging in a sex act and propositioning one the day after, CBS News reported.

On February 14th, Yuniesky Ramirez-Martinez approached two students that attend Downtown Doral Charter Upper School, and asked the female student if she was going to perform oral sex on the other student. The 37-year-old then told the underaged couple that he would take them to a private room so they could “do whatever they want,” his arrest warrant states.

Ramirez-Martinez led the two teens to a TV production room, and told them they could “do it” as he waited in the next room, which had a two-way window. He then secretly recorded them on his smartphone. As the students left the room Ramirez-Martinez “gave Juvenile 2 a “fist bump” and encouraged both juveniles not to fall in love because they are too young,” the police report stated.

The next day Ramirez-Martinez approached the female student and told het he saw what she had done with the other student, and that he wanted her to do that to him. When she declined, reminding him that she was underaged, he responded that he prefers minors. When denied him again, Ramirez-Martinez threatened to tell her boyfriend that she already head.

On February 17th, the teen went to the school’s principal and explained what had occurred. Authorities were then notified, and the City of Doral Police Department made the arrest. Ramirez-Martinez was terminated from his positions, and has been charged with offense against students by an authority figure, solicitation of a child to engage in an act that constitutes sexual battery by a custodial authority, and promoting a sexual performance by a child. He remains at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $40,000 bond.

Three Georgia Teens Charged After 15-Year-Old Found Fatally Shot In Bed

On February 21st, a Peachtree, Georgia woman was getting ready for work when she noticed the light in her daughter’s room was on earlier than usual. When she made her way into the bedroom, despite it being locked, she noticed that a window was open and that the blinds were “a mess.” According to the New York Post, she then discovered her 15-year-old, Madison Gesswein, in her bed “bleeding from her head.”

While on the phone with dispatch, the panicked mother begins to perform CPR, telling them that “there’s a lot of blood” and that she “can’t get any response from her.” First responders arrive to the apartment complex less than five minutes later, and sadly pronounced Madison dead at the scene.

“A final cause of death is pending determination by the medical examiner, but an injury to Madison’s head appears consistent with a gunshot wound,” police said.

The following day, authorities arrested three 18-year-olds in connection to the murder. All three were described as “acquaintances of the victim.” Justus Smith, Jacobean Brown, and Yeshua Mathis, all from Fayetteville, were each charged with murder. A potential motive for the crime has not been revealed.

“This was not a random act,” explained Assistant Police Chief Matt Myers. “They knew whose apartment they were at, and it was in some way related to matters between these individuals.”

  • White Supremacists Responsible For Over 80% Of Extremism-Related Murders In 2022

White Supremacists Responsible For Over 80% Of Extremism-Related Murders In 2022

In 2022, violence within the United States continued at high levels. The Gun Violence Archive, a nonprofit that tracks shootings within the country, reported that an astonishing 647 mass shootings had taken place last year. Among these murders, were suspects with extremist-related motives. According to findings released by the ADL, the Anti-Defamation League, over 80% of these killers were linked to white supremacists.

“All the extremist-related murders in 2022 were committed by right-wing extremists of various kinds,” ADL stated.

Despite the amount of extremist-related killings in the United States decreasing since 2021, the amount of these murders resulting from white supremacy beliefs have increased. Though numerous human rights groups have voiced concerns over white supremacy in the United States in recent years, the issue of white supremacy began making headlines after former President Donald Trump hosted known white supremacist Nick Fuentes at his private club in Florida, Reuters stated.

As individuals with ties to extreme movements and ideologies continue to kill people within the country, President Joe Biden has established an inter-agency group “to coordinate efforts to counter antisemitism, Islamophobia, and related forms of bias and discrimination,” the White House announced December 2022. Why anti-Blackness and racism against Black Americans were not specifically mentioned in the White House’s statement continues to go unaddressed.

Nurse Captured On Video Slamming Newborn Onto Bassinet Has Been Fired

A New York woman has lost her job as a NICU (neonatal intensive care unit) nurse after a patient’s father captured footage of her slamming the baby’s face into a bassinet while changing his diaper, NBC New York reported.

A two-day-old infant, Nikko, was at Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip on Long Island being treated with antibiotics. Excited first time dad, Fidel Sinclair, began filming him through partially drawn curtains, and was horrified with what he saw. In the video taken by Sinclair’s phone, a NICU nurse is seen forcefully flipping the baby from onto his back to his stomach on the bassinet.

“I’m happy I was there,” Sinclair said in an interview. “God sent me. If it wasn’t for God. . . We would have never seen none of that happen. And that would have kept happening through the night- not only to him, but to the other babies too.”

Consuelo Saravia, Nikko’s mother, was horrified with what she saw. She spent many nights crying, and struggled to sleep knowing that her newborn could have been hurt in the care of people she was supposed to trust.

After being shown the video, Saravia confronted the nurse, yelling her that she was to stay away from Nikko. “I told her, ‘I don’t want you to touch my child! You just slammed him,’” she recalled. “She said, ‘Oh, no! If you think I mishandled him or anything, I’m sorry.’”

The two concerned parents, immediately spoke to administrators, showing them the camera footage. A spokesperson for the organization that operates the hospital says an investigation was immediately conducted, and that the nurse was both terminated from her position and reported to the Department of Health. “Keeping our patients safe remains our paramount concern,” they said in the statement.

Martinez, who operates an in-home daycare center five doors from where the stabbing has taken place, struggles to process what has occurred.

She has since been taken into police custody and charged with attempted murder, attempted manslaughter, assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and endangering the welfare of a child.

  • Alaska Republican Argues Child Abuse Deaths Can Be A ‘Benefit to Society’

Alaska Republican Argues Child Abuse Deaths Can Be A ‘Benefit to Society’

Republican Rep. David Eastman is now facing backlash online after commenting on whether the death of abused children would be economically beneficial, Newsweek reported.

During a House Judiciary Committee hearing on adverse childhood experiences, which includes physical and sexual abuse of children and/or living in a household where they witness domestic violence, it was discussed how these events can permanently impact a person’s life.

“In the case where child abuse is fatal, obviously it’s not good for the child, but it’s actually a benefit to society because there aren’t needs for government services and whatnot over the whole course of that child’s life,” Eastman said.

When asked if he was saying that child abuse deaths could “benefit” society, Eastman replied: “I’m talking dollars.” He later continued, saying, “It can be argued, periodically, that it’s actually a cost savings, because that child is not going to need any of those government services that they might otherwise be entitled to receive and need based on growing up in this type of environment.”

Anchorage Democratic Rep. Andrew Gray, who has worked as a prosecutor on child abuse cases, referred to Eastman’s line of questioning as “disturbing.” He also noted that he and his spouse had adopted a child who had faced abuse from their biological parents, and felt that Eastman had implied that abused children were better off dead. ”I would just say for me personally, my child is the greatest joy I’ve ever had- that there is no price tag on that,” Gray said.

Other Republican Representatives came to the defense of Eastman’s comments. Rep. Sarah Vance, who chairs the House Judiciary Committee, praised his “thought process,” claiming his views could be profitable.

“I wished that he asked questions with a little bit more sensitivity to the listeners and how they’re perceived,” Vance explained. “But he’s there on his own accord and only represents himself.”

  • Parents Voice Concerns After Third Grader Finds Gun In Bathroom: “We Found Out Through The News A Month Later”

Parents Voice Concerns After Third Grader Finds Gun In Bathroom: “We Found Out Through The News A Month Later”

Parents in Rising Star, Texas are furious after learning that a 3rd grader found a gun in the bathroom through the news, a month after the incident occurred, The Hill reported.

Last month, a nine-year-old student at Rising Star Elementary School went to the bathroom and discovered a firearm inside of a holster hanging from a stall. Without touching the weapon, the third grader notified a teacher, who reportedly told another student to verify his findings.

“So the teacher asked another kid, my son, ‘Can you go see if it’s a real gun,’” said Giovanni Mata, who recently moved his family to the area from Uvalde after a mass shooting occurred at a local elementary school, where his son attended. “Why would you send a kid? Why not send someone else?”

The firearm belonged to superintendent Robby Stuteville, who says that he and the school’s principal regularly open carry on the elementary school’s campus. He says that he had taken off the gun and placed it in a stall while using the restroom. It was found by a student 15 minutes later.

Local law enforcement say that they weren’t aware of the incident until recently. Rising Star Police Chief Don Braly confirmed an active investigation began Wednesday. “When that investigation is concluded the information and the facts, not rumors, will be turned over to the district attorney’s office,” Braly said.

Parents of the school student are enraged about being left in the dark about a firearm being found by a student. After learning about what had taken place, an emergency parents meeting was held.

“We, as parents, had to find out about it through the news a month later,” one parent explained. “It only makes the school seem like they have something to hide.”

No charges against Superintendent Stuteville have been filed, but the school county has announced that he has provided a letter of resignation.
