UK Man Dies After Attempting A 21-Cocktail Challenge While On Family Vacation In Jamaica

UK native Timmy Southern, 53, died while on vacation with his family in Jamaica after he attempted a local restaurant’s 21-cocktail drink challenge that involved consuming all the drinks on the bar menu.

The NY Post reveals that Southern returned to his room at the Royal Decameron Club Caribbean in Saint Ann after completing 12 cocktails on the menu. Unfortunately, he died shortly after. A Kingston pathologist said his cause of death came from

“acute gastroenteritis due to alcohol consumption.”

Another coroner from Staffordshire, Ema Serrano, ruled his death as alcohol-related.

An investigation into Southern’s death revealed he began drinking brandy and beer in the morning. During the day, he met two Canadian women who planned to complete the 21-cocktail challenge before midnight for their birthday celebrations.

It’s unclear how fast he consumed the 12 cocktails. However, his family tried their hardest to help him before he passed away.

    An unnamed relative told authorities,

“He was on his back choking. I put him in the recovery position and screamed for an ambulance. He was making a gurgling sound. As soon as he was in the recovery position, he vomited. I was shouting his name with no response.”

The family has expressed frustrations and anger post-incident because they believe Southern received a lackluster emergency response from the paramedics. It’s unclear whether the response team effectively delivered life-saving measures.

    According to the relative,

“When the nurse arrived, I said, ‘Had an ambulance been called’ and she said, ‘No.’ I thought she would take over. But that was not the case. I noticed he was starting to lose temperature. I checked his pulse and couldn’t find it.”

    They continued,

“She said he had a pulse. I was starting to lose it. I got a full look at his face, and I thought he had passed away,”

The relative mentions that the nurse only administered chest compressions, not CPR. The family believes more could’ve been done to save Southern.

Additionally, the grieving family member stated:

“The service and treatment he received was disgusting.”

The family has a GoFundMe page to help with funeral expenses and to bring Southern back to Staffordshire.

Bride Goes From Happy Wife To Grieving Widow “Within A 10-Minute Span” After Husband Dies At Wedding

Unfortunately, death has come too soon for one happily married couple. On June 19th, Johnnie Mae Davis went from happy wife to grieving widow “within a 10-minute span” after her husband, Toraze Davis, unexpectedly died from a fatal blood clot shortly after their wedding nuptials, reports The New York Post.

“Toraze suffered from a medical event that was not survivable,”

wedding guest, Jewel Roberson, told Des Moines, Iowa’s KCCI News.

    Davis died at 48.

“His heart stopped for the first time at 4:35 p.m. — just an hour after the ceremony had begun,”

    Roberson stated.

Also, she added that the harrowing incident happened suddenly.

“In a second. It happened within seconds.”

The Omaha, Nebraska couple chose the 19th as their wedding day in honor of Juneteenth and Johnnie’s Mae’s grandmother’s birthday.

Relatives and friends mentioned that the newlyweds were excited to celebrate their union last week, especially since the family has recently suffered two back-to-back deaths, including the passing of Johnnie Mae’s father.

“It was the happiest day of Toraze’s life. I could just see the smile on his face and how happy he was,”

mentioned Monica Miller, a coworker of Johnnie Mae at ECO Supportive Living.

“It [was] just his energy. I just knew that it was a great day for him,”

    Miller continued.

Following Davis’ death, Miller launched a $100,000 GoFundMe campaign to help raise “burial expenses for Toraze and money to help the new bride with their children.” Over $22,000 has been raised as of Tuesday.

Additionally, a homecooked food delivery service called Meal Train and donations through ECO Supportive Living have been set up on behalf of the widow and her surviving family.

  • Florida Sheriff’s Office Arrests 12 Family Members Who Are Allegedly Connected To A Local Drug Trafficking Operation

Florida Sheriff’s Office Arrests 12 Family Members Who Are Allegedly Connected To A Local Drug Trafficking Operation

Last week, Polk County Sheriff’s Office arrested 12 family members across three generations in the Winter Haven area. Fox News reports the suspects have supposed involvement in a local family-run drug trafficking operation.

The joint investigation with Highlands County Sheriff’s Office looked into the infamous Rogers family because of their long connection to narcotics sales. This investigation ended with the multi-generational arrest of nine adults and three juveniles from the Rogers clan. In the raid, police seized 1,366 grams of methamphetamine, 980 grams of cocaine, 900 grams of MDMA (ecstasy), 224 grams of fentanyl, 158 grams of marijuana, 9 grams of Oxycodone, 202 prescription pills, and a firearm.

According to PCSO, the recovered drugs’ street value is around $139,000. Additionally, they recovered enough fentanyl to kill about 96,000 people.

Last Thursday, the sheriff’s office simultaneously carried out search warrants for the family’s three locations in Inwood. Investigators uncovered drugs at each spot.

At the first location, deputies arrested Odia Rogers (69), his girlfriend, Theresa Prince (59), and his daughter, Tameka Rogers (31). All suspects face drug-related charges.

Odia’s son, Rafel Rogers (39), was arrested at the second location. He faces drug and gun-related charges.

Lastly, officials arrested Odia’s grandson, Jordan Rogers (21), two unnamed 16-year-old females, and an unnamed 15-year-old male. They also face drug-related charges. However, one of the 16-year-olds faces an additional drug trafficking charge.

Investigators connected the last three suspects – Gerard Hall (32), Alpavin Tucker (36), and Dominique Rogers (28) – to the operation earlier this year. These individuals are already behind bars just like Kenneth “Pop” Rogers, who is head of the family-run operation.

“Members of the Rogers family are very well known to law enforcement and have been arrested many times over the years. They have been a cancer in the Inwood community for a long time, exposing families there to unwanted drug activity, gangs, violence, and more. We want these families to know that we’re doing everything in our power to put a stop to it,”

said Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd.

  • Ex-Louisville Police Officer Gets Sued For Using Police Resources To Harass, Cyberbully, and Extort Women For Nudes

Ex-Louisville Police Officer Gets Sued For Using Police Resources To Harass, Cyberbully, and Extort Women For Nudes

Former Louisville cop, Bryan Wilson, is being sued for allegedly using his position of power to

“harass, cyberstalk, hack, and extort nude images”

from an unnamed local schoolteacher, Insider reports.

In the lawsuit, the woman – listed as Jane Doe – claims Wilson used his resources as an officer to take part in

    “sexual deviance and predatory acts”

during the summer of 2020. Additionally, she alleges the Louisville Metro Police Department and his superiors did nothing to stop or take action against him.

Wilson gained access to his victim’s information through a database called Accurint. Using the platform, he would

“identify computer applications belonging to those women,”

hack those platforms using the victim’s information, and steal

    “compromising photographs”

    to use as leverage.

Per the lawsuit, Wilson posed as a member of Snapchat’s Support Team. Eventually, he convinced her to send the account’s password after the two exchanged messages about Snapchat’s security policy.

Using her information, he illegally logged in and stole a

    “private video.”

    Afterward, he messaged her saying,

“It would go away if she would show him her ‘boobs.’”

Doe contacted LMPD’s sex crimes unit multiple times after the initial incident but received no response.

    Wilson’s

    “exploitative, harassing, and cruel”

texts continued over the next month as he threatened to send the video to her friends, relatives, colleagues, superiors, and the school district superintendent. In one case, he actually sent the video to one of Doe’s friends.

    Additionally, the lawsuit mentions

“Jane Doe was terrified that Wilson was watching her and became deeply afraid for her safety,”

adding that she feared for her job and that her students would end up seeing the video.

The complete list of victims is

“unknown, but is believed to be over 20.”

Presently, the former cop is serving a 30-month prison sentence after he pled guilty to stalking multiple women – unrelated to Jane Doe’s lawsuit – and throwing drinks at civilians while driving in an unmarked car.

  • TikToker Comes Face-To-Face With 200-Pound Bear On Vacation After It Gets Trapped In Her Sister’s Car

TikToker Comes Face-To-Face With 200-Pound Bear On Vacation After It Gets Trapped In Her Sister’s Car

A TikToker named Emma (@intrusivethot03) and her sister recently came face-to-face with a 200-pound bear in the Great Smoky Mountains after it got trapped inside her sister’s Prius, Insider reports.

The first video she posted about the chance encounter on May 24 went viral. It shows the girls cleaning out the completely destroyed interior full of bite marks and debris.

At the time of the incident, the sisters were revisiting a resort in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area of Tennessee that they’d gone to for 20 years. In the video, Emma mentions they receive bear warnings each year, being told to lock their doors and avoid leaving food inside cars.

In a second video posted on May 25, the TikToker explained how it all went down. During their first night on vacation, airhorns went off around 10 P.M. They assumed a bear was nearby, and that the resort employees were trying to get it away from the property.

“So all of a sudden, we’re watching, and we hear this twig snap to our left,”

Emma stated. Immediately, she turned and saw a black bear climbing a fence. In another Tik Tok video, she included the photo of the bear allegedly climbing over the fence.

“We were all just sitting there, quiet,”

Emma continued, adding that it was near her sister’s car by this point.

Seconds later, her sister noticed the car door open, and the bear climbed inside. Since the car was on a hill, the door closed behind the animal, trapping it inside.

    “It just starts freaking out,”

    she told viewers.

“He’s shaking; he’s turning on the headlights. We felt so horrible.”

The bear even set off the car’s horn in the commotion.

The police were notified immediately. However, employees told the girls that the bear might have to be put down if it continued acting violently.

“There is literally no way you’re doing that,”

replied Emma, who was willing to open the door herself.

When the police came to open the door, the bear – and police – both ran “like hell,” according to her, and the bear disappeared into the woods.

“Thankfully we’re all safe, and so is our bear friend,”

    Emma said.

  • Group of Rowdy Teenagers Trash and Rob Leimert Park McDonald’s After Juneteenth Celebration, One Suspect Arrested So Far

Group of Rowdy Teenagers Trash and Rob Leimert Park McDonald’s After Juneteenth Celebration, One Suspect Arrested So Far

LAPD is investigating a destructive raid that occurred Monday night at a McDonald’s close to Leimert Park after a Juneteenth celebration, Fox 11 reports. The culprits are a group of teens who trashed and looted the fast food chain, getting away with the cash register.

The social media video shows the rowdy teens tearing apart the McDonald’s as employees and customers scream and yell in the background. One jumped over the counter and began destroying the property. In addition, the video also shows another teen snatching the cash register before quickly running out of the establishment.

    “He stole the cash register,”

    an off-camera person yelled.

Once outside, footage shows the unidentified young kid slamming the register on the ground. Then, when it opened, the rest of the teenagers swarmed around to collect the money.

Additional footage from the business showed employees shielding themselves from the commotion behind the counter while the group threw burgers, fries, and other McDonald’s products across the restaurant.

Tony Lardas, the owner of the McDonald’s franchise, told Fox 11,

“We are deeply concerned by the recent incident. The safety of employees and customers is my top priority, and we’re focused on supporting our restaurant team as we continue to assist local law enforcement in their investigation.”

So far, only one person has been connected to the chaotic event, and they were arrested for robbery. The suspect is a 19-year-old, but their name is not public information. LAPD spokesperson Drake Madison told local newspapers that the search continues for the rest of the group.

Nearby restaurant manager, Teron Liggins, spoke to Fox 11 about the incident.

“It got a little hot for a second, and it’s a lot of people crowded together. And everybody created, you know, some type of animosity. It was unfortunate.

The amount of money taken in the robbery is still unknown.

  • FRAUD ALERT: Man Pretending To Be World Famous Psychic Stole Over $175 Million From Victims, Now Faces 280 In Prison

FRAUD ALERT: Man Pretending To Be World Famous Psychic Stole Over $175 Million From Victims, Now Faces 280 In Prison

Patrice Runner faces up to 280 years in prison behind a decades-long fake psychic scheme that stole more than $175 million from vulnerable and elderly Americans. The New York Post reports that the 57-year-old was found guilty of multiple counts of mail fraud, wire fraud, and other related crimes. Each charge holds a maximum prison sentence of 20 years.

The mass-mailing, fraudulent money scheme took place between 1994 and 2014. For twenty years, Runner sent millions of letters impersonating famous psychic Maria Duval. Each promised to provide the targeted victims with good fortune and happiness in exchange for money for

    “psychic services.”

The Washington Post said that a 2014 letter promised the person’s life,

“was going to take a turn for the better,” but to find out more, they must pay $37.50.”

    Another resurfaced letter stated:

“All you have to do to see your life change is grasp the hand of friendship we are holding out to you.”

But apparently, that friendship cost $50.

Though the letters had handwritten statements and personal details about the recipients, they were practically identical in nature. The fraudsters had letters mass-produced so that tens of thousands could be mailed off each week.

Runner acted as the head of the operation behind the scenes. Within his crime organization, he advised his co-conspirators in the day-to-day operations. Their targets were always vulnerable groups, focusing on elderly individuals with dementia and people going through financial hardship.

According to investigators, Runner’s money-making scheme did not involve or include the real Duval. Instead, they found all letters came from conmen who masqueraded as workers for Infogest Direct Marketing, one of Runner’s companies. He attempted to hide his involvement by using several shell companies to keep a low profile.

For over 20 years, Patrice Runner managed a predatory scheme that targeted older Americans by mailing personalized letters to millions of victims purporting to be from a world-renowned psychic. [The] verdict should have come as no surprise to Mr. Runner”

said Inspector in Charge, Chris Nielsen.

  • Drunk Woman in Ohio Attempts To Lure A Four-Year-Old Boy Away From His Parents By Impersonating As A CPS Officer

Drunk Woman in Ohio Attempts To Lure A Four-Year-Old Boy Away From His Parents By Impersonating As A CPS Officer

Police arrested Lisa Nacrelli after she drunkenly attempted to lure a 4-year-old boy to her home. The Ohio native posed as a CPS worker to gain access to the child, according to Radar Online

The incident occurred June 17 after the 44-year-old woman paid the child’s family a visit at their home. She came dressed for the part, claiming to work for local Child Protective Services. Ohio authorities state Nacrelli wore a badge and asked to enter the family’s home to perform a welfare inspection because of a submitted complaint. The victim’s mother, Jaimie Spradlin, said she knew all the children’s names, which made her ruse even more convincing.

When Nacrelli left without giving any contact information to the parents, they knew something wasn’t right. The parents reviewed their security footage and allegedly saw Nacrelli touch the child, stroke his hair, and place her arm around him before she spoke to the parents separately, WCPO-TV reported.

After seeing the footage, the parents researched and quickly discovered Nacrelli was not a CPS officer.

    Jaimie told WCPO-TV,

“Everything was a lie, and now we’re sitting here on top of being enraged that this even happened, terrified because I don’t know what her plan was”

    Tim Spradlin, the father, added,

“It creeps us out a little bit; it’s gut-wrenching.”

Court records state that Nacrelli had been day drinking and noticed the child outside when she returned from Kroger. She felt the young boy wasn’t receiving proper supervision, so she pretended to be CPS to scare his parents. However, she never mentioned wanting to kidnap the young boy.

Apparently, the CPS impersonator lives near the child and has allegedly asked him to come home with her on three separate occasions before the boy told his mom, officials state.

Norwood Police Department has charged Nacrelli with criminal child enticement, burglary, and impersonating an officer. Nacrelli has been given a $10,000 bond for her crimes.
