  • House Approves Ban On Transgender Students Participating In Girls’ Sports, Citing Fairness and Safety Concerns

House Approves Ban On Transgender Students Participating In Girls’ Sports, Citing Fairness and Safety Concerns

On Tuesday, the House approved a Republican bill that prohibits transgender girls and women from participating in school sports teams that align with their gender identity, a move the party emphasized during the 2024 campaign.

The legislation, referred to as the

“Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act,”

seeks to amend Title IX, the federal law that prohibits sex discrimination in educational settings, by defining a person’s

    “sex”

based solely on their reproductive biology and genetics at birth. Schools that permit

“a person whose sex is male to participate in an athletic program or activity that is designated for women or girls”

could face the loss of federal funding.

The bill was approved in the House with 218 votes in favor, 206 against, and one voting present. Two Texas Democrats, Henry Cuellar and Vicente Gonzalez, joined with all Republicans to support the legislation. Democratic Rep. Don Davis from North Carolina voted present.

“An overwhelming majority of Americans believe that men don’t belong in women’s sports and that we must allow common sense to prevail,”

Republican Rep. Greg Steube of Florida, who sponsored the bill, said during the floor debate prior to the vote.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that approximately 3% of high school students identify as transgender. In 2023, House Republicans passed the bill without any Democratic backing. The Senate, then under Democratic control, did not address it.

House Republicans pledged to make the issue a priority again this year after GOP campaigns invested tens of millions in advertisements last year that framed the issue as a threat to girls and women in sports. A similar proposal has been reintroduced in the Republican-controlled Senate. During the floor debate, Republicans contended that these athletes possess biological advantages that create an unfair and unsafe environment for other girls and women.

Florida Woman Pooped On Family Dollar Floor While Her Accomplice Stole $500 Worth Of Cleaning Supplies, Police Say

    Clean up in aisle 5!

Authorities are on the lookout for a couple from Florida involved in a shocking shoplifting operation, per the NY Post. A woman intentionally defecated on the floor of a Family Dollar while her partner made a quick getaway with a cart loaded with hundreds of dollars in cleaning supplies, according to police.

The suspects have humorously been dubbed

    “Mr. Clean”

    and

    “Ms. Dookie”

by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office in a statement released on Thursday.

“The suspects were a man and a woman, and they played different roles as they conspired in their retail theft,”

    Sheriff Grady Judd said.

    “Very different roles.”

Authorities reported that the suspected shoplifters entered the Mulberry store around noon on December 18, 2024. They began filling their cart with nearly $500 worth of items, including Gain, Tide, and Clorox products. While the woman created a distraction by popping on the floor, her hooded accomplice casually walked past the cash registers with his overloaded cart, according to police.

Store surveillance footage captured the man making a hasty exit as his partner is seen smirking while leaving through the front door, all while employees looked on in disbelief. The staff was left to clean up the disgusting scene as the brazen couple drove away in a white Ford van, police stated.

Tennessee Man Taken Into Custody After Allegedly Shooting At Family Sledding In The Snow, Deputies Say

A Tennessee man is in hot water after reportedly opening fire on a family enjoying some sledding in the snow, claiming that they were trespassing on his property, as stated by the NY Post

Benjamin Cook is facing six counts of aggravated assault related to the incident, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office. Additional charges may be filed pending the outcome of the investigation.

The sheriff’s office reported that deputies responded to the 6300 block of Stoney River Drive on Friday after receiving a call about a man firing a gun at a family of six playing in the snow. Initial details from the scene revealed that the parents and their four children had walked down the street to sled down a hill in their neighborhood, according to the deputies.

Around 11:30 a.m., the family heard gunfire coming from a house down the hill near the 10400 block of Birchwood Pike. The mother noticed snow being kicked up just a few feet away from her one-year-old son. The parents quickly turned to the source of the shots and shouted at a man, later identified as Cook, to stop shooting. The man alleged that the family was on his property, but the family maintained that they were not.

They then collected their items and returned home before notifying the authorities. Deputies arrived at the shooter’s residence and spoke with Cook. They also obtained photographs from a neighbor showing Cook wearing matching clothes while walking through the woods with a black rifle slung over his back. Cook was subsequently arrested on charges of aggravated assault. The investigation confirmed that the family was not on Cook’s property when he started shooting. A search warrant was executed at Cook’s home, where multiple rifles were discovered.

    the release said.

“Rather than depositing this rent money with her employer, Caruso stole the money for her own use.”

U.S. District Court Judge Terry F. Moorer sentenced Caruso to 14 months in federal incarceration.

Passenger Detained For Attempting To Fly With Baby Crocodile Skull In Luggage

A man was apprehended by authorities at an airport in India after attempting to bring a baby crocodile skull onto his flight, according to PEOPLE. Delhi Customs announced on X that the 32-year-old man was

    “intercepted”

during a security check at Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) prior to his flight from New Delhi to Canada on Monday, January 6.

Authorities initially found that the man, whose identity has not been disclosed, was carrying

“a skull with sharp teeth… wrapped in a cream-colored cloth.”

They noted that it appeared to be

“the jaw of a baby crocodile”

and weighed nearly 2 pounds. The skull was later sent for forensic analysis by the Department of Forests and Wildlife (GNCTD), which confirmed that it belonged to a baby crocodile—an animal protected under the Wildlife Protection Act of 1972 (WLPA).

The organization reached its conclusion based on the skull’s

“texture, tooth pattern, well-developed bony palate,”

    and the shape of its

    “nostrils.”

The man was then arrested for illegal possession, attempting to export a

    “protected wildlife item,”

and violating the Customs Act of 1962, which forbids the misdeclaration, illegal export, and smuggling of such items, according to Delhi Customs.

The crocodile skull was transferred to the Department of Forests and Wildlife

    “for lab testing.”

Delhi Customs also noted that a

    “further investigation”

into the incident had been initiated. Such occurrences have led India, along with other nations like Bangladesh, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia, to intensify efforts against wildlife trafficking by collaborating to share criminal intelligence in recent years, as reported by The Hindu.

Florida Woman Caught After Mistakenly Texting A Police Officer Instead Of Her Drug Dealer

A Florida woman mistakenly sent a text to a police officer instead of her drug dealer while trying to buy fentanyl, accidentally incriminating herself, as reported by the NY Post

Octavia Wells, 41, was said to be on her way to rehab on New Year’s Eve when she messaged someone she believed was her dealer for one last dose. She reportedly contacted a number saved in her phone as

    “PJ,”

offering to pay $45 for the opioids, according to the Bay County Sheriff’s Office.

    Wells arranged to meet

    “PJ”

at a Tom Thumb convenience store in Panama City, as detailed in a police report obtained by the Smoking Gun. However, upon her arrival, narcotics officers were already there waiting to arrest her, according to police.

It turned out that the number saved in her phone as

    “PJ”

belonged to Stephen Pettijohn, an investigator with the Bay County Sheriff’s Office, who is also referred to as

    “PJ.”

Police noted that the two had a

    “previous iteration.”

Wells reportedly later informed officers that Pettijohn’s name was similar to that of her drug dealer, as mentioned in the arrest affidavit.

The complaint affidavit did not provide specifics about Wells’ prior interaction with the investigator. She faced charges for the unlawful use of a communication device, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving with a suspended license.

  • Diddy’s Childhood Friend Claims Janice Combs Hosted Sex Parties At Their Family Home, ‘That’s What We Were Privy To’

Diddy’s Childhood Friend Claims Janice Combs Hosted Sex Parties At Their Family Home, ‘That’s What We Were Privy To’

Diddy‘s childhood friend, Tim ‘Dawg’ Patterson, revealed some alarming information about the Bad Boy mogul’s mother, Janice Combs, while featuring in the new Peacock documentary, Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy. He stated that in the past, Janice hosted her own sex parties at their family home.

“That’s what we were privy to; this is what we were fed,”

he said, as caught by Rolling Stone.

“Was it desensitizing us? I’m sure it was. Were we aware of it? No, that was just Saturday night,”

    he continued.

The documentary is released just as Diddy gears up for trial concerning accusations of federal racketeering and sex trafficking.

“I’ve always been asked the question why. I don’t know the answer to why, but I truly believe it all goes back to childhood.”

He also claimed that Diddy faced bullying in school for being

    “the rich kid.”

“On the weekend, [Combs] partied in the house, and we did that a lot,”

    he said.

“He was around all types of alcohol; he was around reefer smoke. Drug addicts around, lesbians around, homosexuals, he was around pimps, pushers. That was just who was in our house. People that attended the parties were from Harlem, from the streets. It wouldn’t be a thing to mistakenly walk into one of the bedrooms and you got a couple in there, butt naked.”

Diddy has firmly denied all the allegations that have been brought against him over the past year. His trial is scheduled to start in May. Peacock’s Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy, is set to premiere on January 14th.
