Boosie BadAzz doesn’t subscribe to Eminem’s sound because he never spent time listening to him. The Baton Rouge rapper maintained extended accolades to Eminem but failed to lie about his taste in his music.

Boosie BadAzz Gives His Two Cents On Eminem’s Sound

Eminem may have many Grammys to his name, but he isn’t rappers’ favorite — at least, that was what Boosie BadAzz pointed out in his latest interview. The blunt rapper delved into the ongoing debate about Eminem being a GOAT during his appearance on Cam Capone News.

He shared:

“Where I’m from, we don’t listen to Eminem,” Boosie said. “I’m from the trenches. I never heard nobody come into my project playing Eminem. I’ma keep it real.”

Boosie praised Slim Shady’s skills on the mic but reiterated that his music simply doesn’t resonate in the hood in his hometown.

Amid Boosie BadAzz’s stance, he considers Eminem a gifted artist. He confessed that the Slim Shady song, Eminem’s hit track, is one of his favorites. Still, it is not something people in Boosie’s hood ever wanted to hear.

While acknowledging that every entertainer has their audience and that they will likely fall into categories of Greatest Of All Times, he praised DMX. In his words per HipHopDX:

“DMX is in my Top 5 ’cause I always felt, listening to his music, that he really lived that. Even though I wasn’t from New York, my street n-ggas still saluted him and played his music.”

DMX and Eminem aren’t the only rappers whose names have been pronounced from Boosie’s lips. The Vlad TV host claimed that his counterparts, Jay Z and Nas, have lost their popularity among the rap audience. Boosie, who is very active, believes that many people prefer to listen to newer artists while the veterans have fame because of their businesses and no longer their sound.
