Is an upcoming American drama television miniseries developed by Lee Eisenberg, based on the novel of the same name by Bonnie Garmus.

Set in the early 1960s, Elizabeth Zott‘s dream of becoming a chemist is put on hold when she finds herself pregnant, alone, and fired from her lab. In the 1950s, Elizabeth Zott’s dream of being a scientist is challenged by a society that says women belong in the domestic sphere. She accepts a job on a TV cooking show and sets out to teach a nation of housewives much more than just recipes.

Academy Award-winner and star of “Room,” Brie Larson, is taking on the role of the story’s protagonist, Elizabeth Zott, and will also executive produce the series. She will star alongside Lewis Pullman and Aja Naomi King.
